User : Hi! So I finished my period a little over a week ago. But yesterday I started bleeding again. Not lightly either. What is going on? This has never happened to me before
Doctor : Ok, How long was the bleeding last time?
User : Like a normal period. 5 or 6 days. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Doctor : Are you married ?
User : No.
Doctor : ok, How is the flow now ?
User : Its not as heavy as my period, but its steady.
Doctor : ok, Do you see any clots this time?
User : Clots?
Doctor : Lumps of blood ?
User : I'm not sure what you mean.
User : OH!... um not really. Its sort of grainy actually. Its pretty normal blood.
Doctor : is it dark in color ?
User : No. Just blood. looks exactly like my period blood.
Doctor : ok, this is normal
Doctor : but happens rarely
Doctor : where a part of endometrium shreded will stay trapped in the uterus ands the bleeding stops , once the shredded endometrium looses its blood supply completely i gets expelled out with a minimal amount of bleeding
Doctor : the bleeding may last not more than 3 days , if its prolonged you may have to then consult a gynecologist for detailed examination
User : Okay. So If it doesn't go away by tomorrow i need to see a Gynecologist?
Doctor : yes, wait til day after tomorrow
User : okay. I also took the pill Plan B a week ago. would that have anything to do with it?
Doctor : yes the chances are fair
User : okay. But its nothing serious like a pregnancy or anything? Sorry. i'm just leaving the country for awhile so i want to make sure I'm healthy. :)
