User :   in the last two weeks i've been getting symptoms of what i believe to be chlaymydia. i was wondering if you could provide some guidance on this

User :   itching/irritating urethra, cold sensation in genital area, sharp pain in urethra albeit not constant
User :   i can only think i may have contracted it about three years ago with a very short unprotected sex session. a year or so later i got into the relationship i am now in, where we have been having unprotected sex the majority of the time. my partner has shown no signs of symptons however i hear this is not uncommon. im concerned i may have passed on something that may lead to sterility
User :   my partner was a virgin before entering the relationship, and that one short instance was my only unprotected sex previous to the relaitonship

User :   not specifically for STIs, i hd a urine test 5 days ago and am awaiting the results

Doctor :   way to confirm for sure that your UTI

User :   my concern is sterility - what is the likelihood that in teh worst case scenario my partner contracted the disease unbeknowignly at the start of our rlationship?

User :   i.e if shes had chlaymidia for 18 months untreated.
Doctor :   Yes untreated chlamydial infections can progress
User :   are the chances of infertility high?
Doctor :   to PID which inturn leads to sterility, in about ,5%
Doctor :   But then she would have had all the symptoms by now
Doctor :   rarely do they have no symptoms especially while their fallopian tubes are being damaged
Doctor :   Chances of sterility is not high
