Doctor :   can u repeat it for me ?
User :   I have been having cold for last 6-7 months..
User :   i dont have a running nose but my nose is like always blocked and i ave to keep blowing it so that i can breathe
User :   I had gone to a doc and they tried a lot of medicines but that only worked for a few hours and the problem reappreaed
Doctor :   First to start, can i know ur age ?
User :   My Doc then suggested me to do a AEC blood test
User :   I am 32 years old, male
Doctor :   Can i also know what investigations have been done ?
Doctor :   Has a Xray of the PNS (paranasal sinuses) done ?
User :   the AEC test showed 430 cells
User :   based on which the doc suggested to go for a 20 days course of Hetrazen 100
User :   3 tablets a day
User :   No, i havent done any XRay as of yet
Doctor :   ok,
User :   just the blood test as suggested by the Doc
Doctor :   so has the treatment worked for u ?
Doctor :   and have u repeated the AEC test, and if done did u see any improvement ?
User :   I just started today, and wanted to know if it will help or not as i was reading articles which said that Hetrazen is basically for Worms
User :   So am confused if i am in the right course
Doctor :   it is also for allergic symptoms as well
Doctor :   can u tell me what other medicines have u been taking other than hetrazen ?
User :   i dont have those details now, they were antibiotics for Cold..
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   for now, i would advice you to take some meds , like Sinarest OR levocet (antihistamines)
User :   So what do you suggest
User :   ok
Doctor :   these medicines will reduce the nasal blockage as well as allergic symptoms
Doctor :   as well use NASIVION drops 2-3 drops 3-4 times daily to relieve nasal blockage
User :   and i also wanted to know if Cold continuing for 6-7 months is normal..
Doctor :   Usually no
User :   and Sinarest, how many tabs do you want me to have and for how many days
Doctor :   sinarest 1 per day (in case of headache, or heaviness of head)
User :   And what about Hetrazen, should i continue
Doctor :   levocitarizine 5 mg once daily helps reduce allergy symptoms
Doctor :   I would advice u, to repeat the AEC test again, and if thats normal then u can stop hetrazen
User :   ok,,
User :   I will get the test done again and see
Doctor :   also, get your self examined for condtion called DNS (deviated nasal septum) , by getting a Xray PNS
Doctor :   This condition can cause a persistant colds again and again
User :   Ok, this all started in last 6-7 months prior to that i never had any problems..
User :   I had shaved off my head once and it all stared
