User :   My 2 1/2 year old daughter has always had over active lacrimal glands. In the past couple of days she has been waking up with "goopy" eyes. Is she more likely to get pink-eye because of this condition? Other than warm rag compress, is there any other way I should I treat the goopy eyes?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   LET me read ur query
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   In addition to that, you may need to use saline drops to clear the discharges
Doctor :   can u tell me if they are purulent ?
Doctor :   any other complaints like fever, eye irritation etc ?
Doctor :   are u there ?
User :   Ok. Thanks for your additional advise. Do you recommend any specific brand? What is your definitiion of puulent. No other complaints or fever. Just that her eyes are extra weepy in the past couple of days. Weather change?
Doctor :   like pus ?
Doctor :   allergy can cause it as well
Doctor :   cleareye is one such preparation
User :   No pus, but then I am not really sure, on one occassion I noticed a white/not clear at all discharge floating over her eye (like the size of a grain of rice).
Doctor :   that could be mucus , if it was white
User :   Pus is more of a yellowish? What I see on her lashes in the morning is what I would call "dried up sleep"...a common person's explanation of what they see...
Doctor :   yes , pus is yellow to dark yellow
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   then no need to worry at all
Doctor :   they are very common in kids
Doctor :   Are u there ?
User :   Yes, had to chase after the twins...
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Have u followed my advice ?
Doctor :   Are u there ?
Doctor :   I hope i have answered your queries
