Doctor : CRL means CROWN RUMP length its the length of the embryo
User : A single yolk sac is seen. it measures 0.33 cm
Doctor : ylk sac is a partition inside the pregnancy sac which contains yolk ( nutritious material ) which nourishes the growing embryo
User : Is 0.33cm fine?
Doctor : May i know her last menstrual period date ?
User : first day of her last period was 5th Oct 2010
Doctor : ok, its about 7 or 8th week , the size of yolk sac is normal

Doctor : the first one is the gestation age based on the date of the last period, the second one is the age based on the scan findings

Doctor : both should be equal, but a lag of a week or two is expected from the scan
