User : Hello Doctor, i am 29 yrs old 33 weeks pregnant. my sugar levels are fasting 136 and 176 afte one and half hour. not taking sugar for last 20 days. Please advice.

Doctor : I feel the tests showed slight elevated levels.
User : not taking anything contains sugar

Doctor : 2. Please take plenty of water and sugar free - fresh fruit juices , low in Carb. diet. and dont strain them.

Doctor : 3. If you are physically able enough, take a walk at least for 45 mins. in the morning and 30 mins. in the evning.

Doctor : 4. Gestational Yoga or Sukshm Yoga to move every part or joint by just standing or sitting in a chair. These are subtle exercises to increase blood circulation to extremities and whole body.
Doctor : 5. On diet, Please take the following dietary habits : less cereals, high protein foods like pulses, legumes, Only Gourds and green leafy vegetables.

Doctor : After one hour have Karela juice with some rock salt and some tulsi leaves in it.
User : i am really sorry i did not tell you that my blood pressure is also fluctuating

Doctor : That was the reason that I advised you rock salt as in most gestational diabetes cases we have Blood Pressure variatons.

Doctor : And please abstain from Common Table salt totally.

Doctor : For lunch : have 50 gms of Unpolished / Brown Rice or One Phulka with two-three cups of palak/any other dal , Any gourd curry - like Ribbed , Bitter , etc.

Doctor : Have a nice platter of salads again at lunch.

Doctor : At dinner have fruits - mostly oranges, mosambi, Pine apple. And mostly one phulka with lots of sabzi, do add muli and onion to the salads. Have lots of Beet roots.
