Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello Doctor
Doctor :   how can i help you ?
User :   I m having problem conceiving
Doctor :   can u please mention your age, and any medical condtions that u may have ?
Doctor :   can u elaborate about your problem , and if any investigations if done before ?
User :   I m 33 yr old...i had laproscopy as i had some cysts...prior to that i had conceived but had miscarriage duing 8th week
User :   its been now 8 yrs that i m married
Doctor :   You mean to day u had ovarian cysts ?
Doctor :   * u mean to say - ovarian cysts ?
User :   yes
User :   i had earlier...but recently i had been for a scan as per my cysts found...and i had ovulated this month properly
Doctor :   Have u been on any contraceptives ? or implants ?
Doctor :   ok
User :   no i didnt use any contraceptives and i even went for IUI last year
User :   but that didnt help me either
Doctor :   Have u been on any medicines for cvulation induction ?
User :   yes
User :   fertomid
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Has a semen analysis of your husband been done ?
User :   yes it has been done
Doctor :   Since now u are ovulating normally, you can consider waiting for some time for conception to occur normally, in case the semen analysis was perfectly normal
Doctor :   i hope the semen analysis was perfectly normal ?
User :   yes the semen analysis report is normal
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   also since the ultrasound has shown no more cysts , you can get a hormone assay of FSH, LH, testosterone , done as well to confirm your stable status
User :   okay
Doctor :   and wait with a positive attitude for some months, so that pregnancy can occur normally
Doctor :   after about 6 months, if conception, does not occur normally, inspite of being on ovulation induction (fertomid), then Invitro fertilisation can be attempted
Doctor :   But i expect, everything to proceed normal as the tests and everything is normal
User :   okay
Doctor :   Do u have any other query ?
User :   i m lil apprehensive about it...coz after i ovulated ..she said 2 eggs were ruptured
User :   and after that she put me on progesterone tabs orally...
Doctor :   that is fine, as progesterone is a hormone needed to maintain the follicular cysts and pregnancy
Doctor :   doing a test assay for FSH, LH, testosterne can help to know the pituitary, hypothalamus and ovary axis function
Doctor :   and if that is normal, then u need not worry
User :   okay...but when shud these tests be done
Doctor :   ovulation induction + maintainance therapy with progesterone , will be benefcial to you
Doctor :   any time , these tests can be done
User :   okay today is my 1st day of my period...though i was on progesterone...i still got my periods..wondering why i didnt conceive this month though there were 2 eggs being released
Doctor :   It may take some time for conception, to occur
Doctor :   the best things occur, when u dont stress on things to happen
Doctor :   being stressed will cause more stress hormones to be released and this affects other hormones as well
Doctor :   be relaxed, and calm and over time, you will defintely concieve
User :   i agree to that doctor...i work in shifts....currently i m working in the night u think that will affect the hormones
Doctor :   yes,
Doctor :   working in night shift can increase the stress hormone levels
User :   okay...i work for 4 weeks in the night and then 8 weeks in the day...
User :   so can i for treatment for this month when i m night...
User :   * when i m in the night shift
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   that wont matter much
Doctor :   but how often do u have intercourse in the fertile period, while u r in night shift ?
User :   may be twice ina week
User :   when i know that i ovulated then will have intercourse...
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   that seems ok
Doctor :   now u need to be patient for a few weeks and you will definitely have good results
User :   Thanks Doctor...
User :   thank you so much for clarifying my doubts...
Doctor :   you are welcome
User :   as mentioned i ll get the FSH, LH, testosterne test done...
User :   when can i get back to u
Doctor :   any time, once u get the tests done and if they are normal, u can rest assured that everything will be fine

User :   can age be a factor for not conceiving...
Doctor :   age > 35 is a factor to reduce conception
Doctor :   but with supplemetary hormones like progesterone, u will have no issues at all
User :   okay cool...
User :   can i get in touch with u directly
User :   is there any possiblity
