User :   4 months off and on
Doctor :   Ok, What is your age ?
User :   26

User :   i first took antibiotics left over from uti
User :   and then went to doctor
Doctor :   Ok
User :   he told me it was herpes and put me on famvir
User :   i took all the meds and pain still existed
User :   pulse order 3 meds online
Doctor :   What is your gender ?
User :   male
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   then i spoke with online doc and told him my symptoms and he said that doc was crazy and was not std related
Doctor :   Yes the online doctor was right,
Doctor :   for Herpes you need to put a patient on medication within 2 days of infection, so there is no point in treatment with Famvir.
User :   then spoke with holistic doc in person and he said its most likely urethritis or prostate related
User :   so he put me on natural antibiotic
User :   been on since the 6th, no relief
Doctor :   Do you have any other associated symptoms like fever, painful urination, blood in urine and how about your Urine sample tests ?
User :   dull ache about 3 inches from tip, burning during urination
User :   no fever
User :   not swollen lymph nodes
User :   burn very lightly after urination
Doctor :   Ok, Do you have any prior or previous history of STD'S.
User :   no
Doctor :   Are you sexually active ?
User :   i tested positive for herpes non-specific
User :   but i've get cold sore once or twice a year
User :   i didn't think about that at the time i tested positive, i kind of freaked out
User :   the a few months later and though about it
User :   the pain went away,
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   the i took a bath with Epson salt and the pain came back
User :   went away for a few weeks and the had sex and the pain came back
Doctor :   It can be due to the following reasons and you have to follow the following advise : Doctor :   Preventive treatment : User :   i finished the famvir for a month and lysine and herpes supplements
User :   i starting to think that is not herpes
Doctor :   1. Abstain from having sexual intercourse for the next three months, as you can infect your partner .
User :   i had made peace with it but now im starting to wonder
User :   ok
Doctor :   Medical treatment : User :   kind of already stopped
Doctor :   1. You have to continue on low dosage antibiotic for next three months for it.
User :   but i did test neg for all stds other than hsv
Doctor :   2.Also on Urinary analgesics or pain relievers like Phenazopyridine
User :   any idea what is going on
User :   it not really painful, more annoying than anything
Doctor :   It can be due to Prostatitis or Urethritis or Interstitial Cystitis.
User :   very dull pain
User :   i have had uti before
User :   and my girl friend recently had uti
Doctor :   Yes I understand as the Chronic Urethritis and Interstitial Cystitis have the above symptoms and cause more concern than pain.
User :   her doc said it was really bad
User :   so herpes out of the question
Doctor :   You have to be a bit ore strong emotional
User :   ?
User :   no blister or sores, just dull ache off and on for 4 months
Doctor :   As far as I feel Herpes might have been positive at that moment when you tested but now you have Chronic urethritis.
Doctor :   Or Prostatitis.
User :   well i always knew i had herpes 1
Doctor :   You have to understand the fact that Urethritis doesnt get treated very easily and sometimes takes months.
User :   i've gotten cold sores for years but i did not put one or two together after the test came back
User :   i get a bump on my lip then it bust into a sore then goes away, only last a day or two
User :   that what my holistic doc said
User :   so no sex or masturbation for 3 months
User :   will natural antibiotic be ok
Doctor :   Very true, once you have herpes it stays in the latent form in the nerves and comes back as sores and blisters whenever there is low immune states like : Doctor :   1. fasting, 2. stress levels, 3. Decreased fluids, 4. Multiple sex partners 5. Any chronic illness, 6. Non-hygenic state and low immune states.
User :   my pain is isolated to my urethra and as far as i know hsv is passed by skin to skin contact my pain is to far down my penis not exposed during sex
Doctor :   But as of now, I strongly feel it might be due to Urethritis or Cystitis.
User :   what cause those
User :   do i need to worry about prostate issues
User :   should i stop taking herpes meds
User :   my other doc said i should stop taking them, i just want to be sure
Doctor :   I advise you to follow some health practises for next 3 months and medications for them.No need to be on medication for herpes.
Doctor :   Please note the following points : Doctor :   1. Abstain form sexual intercourse ; 2. Have lots of fluid, juices, veggies, fruits ; 3. Please follow hygenic toilet practises
User :   thank you so much
Doctor :   Medically : 1. Antibiotics for next three months
Doctor :   2.Pain relievers
User :   just tell my doctor to put me on antibiotics, ok
Doctor :   They can be due to bacterial or viral infections and will be relieved in next month or so.
User :   he put me on chronic
User :   and ehb
User :   with that due
Doctor :   Please consult only a Urologist or a Pain Specialist.
User :   ok
User :   thank you
User :   thank you so much
Doctor :   Hoe you are fine by next couple od days/week.
Doctor :   Take care, bye for now.
