Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am Dr. XXX
Doctor :   I think you are the same whom I was chatting with
User :   Hi, we spoke a few minutes ago but there was a tecnical issue. Sorry about that.
Doctor :   No problem
Doctor :   let us continue
User :   okay - thank yo
User :   thank you
Doctor :   The photograph you had sent looks like a miliaria
Doctor :   But I was wondering if there is similar problem with any one in the close contacts of the child
User :   No - nobody else has been affected.
Doctor :   Since it is been 2 weeks
User :   Yes - over two weeks now.
Doctor :   I think it should not be delayed in showing to a Pediatrician or Dermatologist whom ever you can meet early
Doctor :   Even an experienced Doctor can put on topical creams of Antibiotics and low dose steroids
User :   Okay. And you think miliaria is the only potential problem. It doesn't look like anything else?
Doctor :   I do not know if you have local access to some one nearby
User :   Yes, I do. I will get a referral to see a dermatologist.
Doctor :   But can it be soon?
User :   Hopefully. Why - do you think he needs immediate attention?
Doctor :   As he might have itching and scratch
Doctor :   Which can make the rash worse
Doctor :   Till then you can put cool compresses
Doctor :   and apply CALAMINE lotions
Doctor :   Trim of his nails
User :   It does not itch. It doesn't seem to bother him at all.
Doctor :   I could think of the following causes
Doctor :   1) Roseola subitum 2) Allergic contact dermatitis 3) Miliaria
User :   The doctor said if it was Roseola, it would disappear within a few days???
Doctor :   I hope the rash did not increase after use of the medicine
Doctor :   Yes
Doctor :   All of the above disappear in a week
User :   Yes - the rash did get worse after applying the cream - I have stopped using the cream now.
Doctor :   Miliaria takes more time though
User :   He has had the rash for over two weeks
Doctor :   Ok
User :   okay - so miliaria is the most likely?
User :   How do we heal it?
Doctor :   Coolness
Doctor :   Dryness
Doctor :   It takes the time
User :   Try not bathing him for a day or two?
Doctor :   You should rub him with a wet cloth
Doctor :   instead of bath
User :   Okay.
Doctor :   When was the last vaccine?
User :   he hasn't had any vaccines.
Doctor :   Measles, chicken pox, pertusis etc??
User :   No - none of them
Doctor :   Why is it so?
Doctor :   Is it not in the vaccination programme in your country?
User :   I believe the vaccines can lead to other illnesses. I suffer from a bowel condition that is linked with MMR vaccine.
User :   I am in the XXX. We have a very good vaccine programme, but I would prefer to have the vaccines separately. Here, we have to get them all in one shot.
Doctor :   I think the child should not deprived of vaccines whether it is given separately or in one shot
Doctor :   Vaccines can increase the quality of life and span of life
User :   I appreciate your concern, but I don't think the pros out weigh the cons.
User :   Vaccines can lead to serious health problems too.
Doctor :   Yes
Doctor :   I agree too but you should take them separately
Doctor :   if not in the programme
User :   I would if I could. It isn't possible to get them all separately here.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   Does the rash look like a serious condition that he should have had a vaccine for?
User :   Any condition like that?
Doctor :   I suspect the infectious diseases first in the row
User :   Roseola?
Doctor :   Some times the rash mimics the other
Doctor :   So a close examination and a proper history is important for any Doctor
Doctor :   Can you ask a Dermatologist on our panel
Doctor :   By giving him the entire history ( not vaccinated)
Doctor :   the sequence of events
User :   okay. I will do that. Thank you very much for your time Doctor - it's much aprpeciated.
Doctor :   with fever, cough and rash especially
Doctor :   How did the rash change in its nature
Doctor :   after the medicine
Doctor :   All these are important points
Doctor :   A more close photograph is also good
Doctor :   Would you like me refer one for you
Doctor :   XXX
User :   Thanks again Dr.
Doctor :   I shall contact you over an eMail
Doctor :   if I find something interesting
User :   Thanks.
