User :   I keep having mucous in my throat and have to clear it.....then I will cough.....and I cough up chunky phelgm.......pearl/white color
User :   feels like my breathing is affected by this phelgm

User :   no I have not been sick since January

User :   I notice when I have a good laugh I may wheeze or start coughing

Doctor :   since at high altitude, you may be exposed to cold air, and this can cause rhinitis, and sinusitis
User :   does that cause phelgm?
Doctor :   I would advice you to have some clarinex, and sudafed to releive the symptoms
Doctor :   yes it does cause plegm
User :   I occasionally use a netty pot

User :   no to sudafed
User :   I have bad reaction to it
Doctor :   steam & salt water garling will be good
User :   clarinex does that have stimulates like sudafed?
User :   what is rhinitis?
Doctor :   or take ibuprofen for the antiinflammatory part
Doctor :   NO clarinex does not have psedoephrine (as in sudafed)
User :   okay.....zertec is not the same?
Doctor :   zyrtec has low effectiveness with respect to clarinex
Doctor :   if they are not help ful then you may need prescription antibiotics
User :   okay I like it because I don't feel dowsy or funny with on zertec

Doctor :   desloratidine in clarinex is also nondrowsy
User :   I will try clarinex.
User :   I had this issue at low altitudes too
User :   but was in area more urban ..........damp and more pollution
Doctor :   mostly you may need meds to control allergy
Doctor :   ask your doc, about starting singulair
Doctor :   its good for people with perennial allergy problems
User :   Yes my problem is I have pre existing conditon that I am not issurable
Doctor :   ok, i understand, and singulair is costly without insurance
Doctor :   ask your doc, if he can get you samples of it
