User:i am XXXXXXX
User:doc i am in my 20th week of pregnancy
User:and i don'tt feel like eating anything
User:not able to et anything at all at dinner
User:probably i daily have vegetable soup and a glass of orange juice
User:but managed to have eat something at breakfast and lunch
Doctor:You are unable to eat due to low appetite or due to symptoms of nausea/vomiting?
User:due to low appetite
Doctor:If it is because of low appetite, have you checked your hemoglobin level recently?
User:yes i did
User:it was around 12
Doctor:How long ago was the test performed?
User:2month back
Doctor:Do you have any other symptoms apart from the low appetite?
User:not at all
Doctor:Do you have history of diabetes / thyroid problems in the past?
User:yes i had thyroid
Doctor:Are you on medications now?
User:But only TSH high was in by marginal level
User:yes i am
Doctor:Let me brief you.
Doctor:Appetite changes is very common during pregnancy.
User:but does it effect baby's growth / health in any way
Doctor:You may crave for some food while other food can be disgusting.
Doctor:You may need to check if you have any cravings for some food.
User:but there is no craving
Doctor:apart from this pregnancy also causes some changes in your hormones and blood.
Doctor:Anemia and thyroid changes are common.
Doctor:Both anemia and hypothyroid state can reduce appetite levels.
Doctor:You will need to recheck both these by tests.
Doctor:If they are abnormal it needs to be corrected accordingly.
Doctor:I do not have any other condition to explain the low appetite now.
User:i had gain weight due to thyriod
Doctor:You can get these test done under the guidance of gynecologist and review.
User:so are you saying i can lose weight due to thyroid only
Doctor:Pregnancy can also cause weight gain. Therefore without the latest TSH values we cannot attribute this to thyroid issue alone.
User:will get both the rest done..
