Doctor:This is Dr XXXXXXX
User:Hai doc
Doctor:How are you
User:Fine doc
Doctor:How can I help?
User:I have a doubt. My wife is pregnent. Her last lmp is 5 may 2012.
User:She is having fibroids. In upper and lower.
Doctor:how big are the fibroids?
User:Fundal fibroid with 10.3*9.9*8.3cms left side and antero-laterally with 4.6*4.4cms on right side
User:Consultant said she had to go c-section on 24 XXXXXXX 2013.
Doctor:That would be required
User:My doubt is does the baby organs are fully formed or not
Doctor:the baby's organs would be formed
User:What will be the pregnancy weeks.
Doctor:since its already more on 34-36 weeks
Doctor:let me calculate
User:My doubt is my wife crossed 37 weeks?
Doctor:Ok we can only determine with Ultrasound scan
User:Does this fibroid compressed my kid?
Doctor:But according to LMP she crossed 37 weeks
Doctor:You can go ahead with C/S
Doctor:as planned
Doctor:You do not need to worry about the development of organs
Doctor:They would have by now
Doctor:Is it ok?
User:Kid weight is 3kgs
Doctor:The most important is lung development which takes place by 35 weeks
Doctor:so it helps in survival in the externaal environment
Doctor:3 kg is a good weight
Doctor:Do you follow?
Doctor:Do you have any other concern that I can address?\
User:So based on the weight and completion of 37 weeks of pregnancy she can go ahead for c-section day after tommorow
Doctor:there is no problem
User:My concern is baby lungs are functioning or not and after c-section there will be any problem?
Doctor:at 34 weeks the baby's lungs get matured
Doctor:so already its 37 weeks
Doctor:they would have matured long ago
Doctor:so dont worry about that
Doctor:your wife and your child are going to be fine
User:But consultant said my wife needs blood. She is having 11.0 HB
Doctor:She may or may not need it
Doctor:the haemoglobin is fine
Doctor:not bad
Doctor:It drops a little in pregnancy
User:Consultant said my wife is having fibroids so blood is requred
Doctor:dont worry about this
Doctor:yes, its possible that she may need it
Doctor:depends on the clinical situation
Doctor:dont worry about this
User:My wife is having B-VE
Doctor:Its fine, they'll keep the blood prearranged
Doctor:dont worry about this
User:Thanks doc for ur kind suggestion.
Doctor:C sections are very commonly done and are in fact they are one of the most commonly done surgeries
Doctor:Is there anything else I can help you with?
User:Thanks doc
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me
Doctor:Have a nice day ahead
