User:I am 26 weeks pregnant. I am having severe cough and cold. Whether it will effect my baby?
Doctor:Upper respiratory tract infection generally doesn't cause any serious harms to the baby.
User:For cough I am having chericof syrup.but for cold I am not having any medicine.
Doctor:But I want you to take care of yourself since pregnancy can lower body resistance and infections can behave in different manner.
Doctor:May I know who recommended chericof syrup?

User:Is it safe having that syrup?
Doctor:Chericof has not caused any serious effects during pregnancy. However it's use needs to be monitored by the doctor.

Doctor:Now as far as cold is concerned, there are a few options.
Doctor:The most safest measure is to try steam inhalation.
Doctor:You can try it along with home remedies such as ginger.
