User :   Regarding HIV
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Heloo Dr
Doctor :   Iam Dr .
Doctor :   Hi
User :   I have a question on HIV transmission
Doctor :   please post
User :   could u please help me in knowing my exposure
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Yes sure
User :   I am a male, aged 27 years. Not at all sexually active. The only exposure that I had is given below in my whole life. 11 weeks before I had visited a massage parlour for a massage.Since, this was my first time so I dint knew much about it. The Gal while performing the massage, mounted on me and place his personal part on my personal part (mine was covered with a towel and she was wearing her undergarments). She was on me for about two minutes and while rubbing my chest with her booves she was also rubbing her personal part to my personal part. I have not discharged any fluid in this two minutes but I am not sure about the gal. Since, she was rubbing it vigorusly I could only feel her bones near my personal parts and was not at all enjoying it, so after a minute and a half I said her her to stop, after which say 30 sec. she stopped it.
Doctor :   May i know your age and occupation
User :   27
Doctor :   Ok Let me read it
Doctor :   Ok
User :   Then later she use a tissue paper to give me a hand job. Thats it. My question 1. In case if she is positive and had discharged any fluid while rubbing, can hiv be transmitted from two set of cloths and get in from from urethra? She was wearing a thin synthetic undergarment. My personal part was covered with a cotton towel used in bathing (not very thick but not at all thin also). Please give me the reason for yr answer. 1.1. Is moist towel has enough viruse to transmit it to a non infected person?
Doctor :   HIV virus can get transferred through body fluids
Doctor :   Till now no study has given any case suggesting transfer through clothes
Doctor :   If her body fluids had contacted you directly you have a chance
Doctor :   Since there is no direct contact you have got a very less chance of getting it
Doctor :   Are you sure that you had no direct contact?
User :   yes, I am 100% sure. At no time she was un dressed and i never uncovred the towel.
Doctor :   Towel off course is very thick
User :   Also before giving the hand job I have touched my penis and I am sure that there was no visible fluid or any fluid which I could feel on my hand
Doctor :   so possibly no dirct contact
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   So i think know you have excessive fear about the exposure
User :   But I have touched her butt, for a minute while she was giving a hand job and then touched my penis. Mut I dont hink there could be any fluids on her butt
Doctor :   ok
User :   2. Since, I was tensed so I decided to visit a Dr. in a Govt hospital, just to know the chances of transmission. Unluckily I landed to a hospital where treatment to HIV patients are given. I sat between these patients and touched all the tables and chairs. I know that hiv is not transmitted from sharing things, or tables or chairs used by infected person. But after this I forgot to wash my hand and used the same hand to clean my nose/ rubbed my eyes. If I might have touched any dry blood on the table which could be there and then without washing hands touch the mucous memberane of eyes/nose. Can there be transmission. What is the Risk 3. As I was already crazy about these thing I got a rapid test post 8 weeks (56 days) after the massgae parlour visit and it was 41 days after the visit to hospital. It came negative. Now I have to wait for 3 more weeks for completion of 12 weeks post visit to hospital. Should I test again? Is this required
Doctor :   if still you some doubts
Doctor :   \you can do an ELISA test after 1 week
User :   Is the visit to govt hosp was a risk and wat about 8 week test
Doctor :   by 3 months of exposure 99% will be positive
Doctor :   No chance of getting from chairs or tables
Doctor :   so dont worry about that
User :   Okie, I think I will re test after a week and settel down
Doctor :   now you can do the elisa after 1 week
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   Dont worry
Doctor :   You have very very little chance to get it
Doctor :   so be bold
Doctor :   and for your satisfaction do an elisa at 12 weeks
Doctor :   That will be ok for you
