User:how to get pregnant by having one blocked fallopian tube.
Doctor:I understand that You would like to discuss about conceiving while having one fallopian tube blocked
User:I wanna know how to get pregnant havng one blocked fallopian tube
User:is it possible to conceive
Doctor:for natural conception (that is where you don't take any medical help or assistance to get pregnant..... You don't need to do anything
Doctor:yes it is possible to conceive
Doctor:but the chances will be half of what a normal female would have
User:but how and how much time it will take
Doctor:If you are taking medical help, the chances of conception go up
Doctor:We can never predict the exact time of conception
User:plz. tell the procedure.
Doctor:Even a perfectly healthy couple only have a 37% chance of conception in each menstrual cycle
User:is dnc required in this case
Doctor:What kind of procedure are you looking for?
Doctor:D&C is done only if there is any endometrial pathology
User:any medicine or any surgery required..As egg formation is ok.
Doctor:A blocked fallopian tube is a complex problem
User:only one tube is blocked..
Doctor:it is not so easy to treat the issue, because even after surgery the chances of that tube getting blocked again are very high
Doctor:I can understand that only a single fallopian tube is blocked
User:suggest a proper solution
Doctor:in this type of situation, it is difficult to tell you exactly what the out come will be
Doctor:Mr Bikash
User:hcg already done
Doctor:I regret to say this, but you are just jumping from one thing to another and you are not in a mood to understand the issue
Doctor:Your problem is not that easy to solve
Doctor:and I am extremely sorry I can not provide a solution to your problem in a chat
Doctor:It is just too complicated
User:ok. is ther no any medicine to cure this
Doctor:If you wish to know, I can tell you what all options you have
Doctor:based on that You can chose what is best for you
Doctor:first and foremost
Doctor:You need a complete evaluation,
Doctor:by complete evaluation I mean, why did the tube get blocked?
Doctor:is there any medically treatable reason for this blockage?
Doctor:these two questions have to be answered before we can go any further with your treatment options
User:ok.thnks.for ur advice..
Doctor:So the probable causes for such tube blockage are TB(tuberculosis), Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), Chlamydial infections.
Doctor:So once these conditions are ruled out by appropriate tests
Doctor:you can go ahead with treating them as per your reports
User:as we have consulted doctors, hcg tst done, report shows normal. tuberculosis was not the issue as said by doctor.
Doctor:If these all tests come negative, then you will have to think about unknown causes for tube blockage and then consider repair of the tube, this is a surgical procedure which requires extreme care and high level of expertise
Doctor:The surgery may not be a success always
User:is it risky
Doctor:the surgery is not a risky one, but it requires experience because the tube is very small
User:is it be done through laproscopy
Doctor:No, there is no point of doing such a surgery by laparoscopy
Doctor:it is a very delicate surgery
Doctor:In all such surgeries we would need very good view and easy handling of the tissue because what ever we do should be very precise and accuarate
Doctor:So it will be an open surgery
User:thanks 4 ur valuable advice
Doctor:You have to discuss with an infertility specialist in detail about all the options you have to become pregnant
Doctor:You are welcome
Doctor:please consult an infertility specialist and discuss face to face
Doctor:only then you will understand it clearly
Doctor:Is there anything else you want to ask me?
User:one more issue about tuberculosis
Doctor:please go ahead
User:this issue was of my bhavi
User:she has done all tests. ct scan , sonography and doctors say that TB was very earlier
User:presently no any serious symptoms of tb seen.. and doctors give medicine to continue
User:what r the other tests so that it can be detected in proper way
Doctor:The tests are, PCR for TB DNA,
Doctor:Sputum AFB staining
Doctor:Sputum culture and sensitivity (Special culture for TB)
Doctor:ADA levels
Doctor:Mantoux test
Doctor:CT scan of the chest
Doctor:CT scan of abdomen
Doctor:Tissue biopsy and histopathological examination
Doctor:All these are not necessary and even if one is conclusively positive for TB, the she has to take medicines for a minimum of 6 months
User:doctors suggest tissue biopsy, but as no much cough is formed, whethr it will be the right way.
Doctor:Tissue biopsy is very good for knowing if there is TB
Doctor:But if CT scan is done, then there is no need for that, as taking a course of medicines for 6 months will completely cure her from TB
User:is it harmful if medicine to be continued without proper diagnosis
Doctor:PCR is expensive but it is only a blood test, so if you want you can do that
User:how much approx
Doctor:of course it is bad to take medicines without a correct diagnosis, but in India most of the problems are due to TB and TB is very wide spread,
Doctor:it is very common to get TB in India
Doctor:I am really not sure how much it will cost, but I guess it will be around 15 to 20 thousand rupees
User:is medicine to be continued 4 six monts. but doctors advice for two months only
Doctor:There are two stages of TB treatment
Doctor:First stage is for 2 months, followed by second stage that is for 4 months
Doctor:If your doctors are advising only 2 months, then I suggest you go to your nearest government hospital to continue the treatment
User:ok. by doing PCR whethr we can get proper result
Doctor:YES, PCR is 100 percent accurate and 100 percent reliable
User:why u say to govt. hospital..
Doctor:Govt hospitals will give the medicine for free
User:do you think we cant afford
Doctor:and also government hospital doctors will be knowing the latest recommendations about TB treatment as per RNTCP guidelines
Doctor:It is not about affordability
User:I don't like the way
Doctor:Government hospital is not only for patients who can not afford, TB is a notifiable disease, and any new case must be reported to the government
User:ok. but I don't wanna to get it be publicity to govt.
Doctor:I know what you mean, the choice is yours, and government hospital will not send the personal details to the government... anyway I feel you it is best left at this
Doctor:is there anything else you wish to discuss?
Doctor:are you there?
Doctor:Since you have not responded I am forced to close this chat.
