User :   during pregnancy, is it possible to become pregnant again?
Doctor :   Hi Dr xxxx here
User :   hello
Doctor :   it is theoretically possible
Doctor :   in case there are 2 eggs released within the same cycle, but at different timings, both eggs can get impregnated and cause a dual pregnancy
Doctor :   But once you are pregnant, there are no chances that you can get pregnant, as u dont get ovulation again until the pregnancy is over
Doctor :   have u understood my advice?
User :   my girlfriend is about 6 weeks pregnant. she got pregnant while having a copper IUD. we have been sexually active since then and no protection has been used. The chances of her pregnancy with the IUD were very low, so Im a little paranoid about any possibilities at this point. So, our sexual activity after 6 weeks into pregnancy are unlikely?
User :   I read an article about a woman conceiving another baby after 2 1/2 weeks after being impregnated
Doctor :   once pregnancy is achieved, there is no more ovulation, so there are no chances of pregnancy upon pregnancy
Doctor :   this can occur if the patient had abnormal cycles before or the egg was released within the same cycle as i have mentioned before
Doctor :   the timing could be mistaken by the evaluator,
Doctor :   But such occurrances are rare
User :   ok. thank you for your time. thats all I was concerned about. thanks. have a good day
Doctor :   you too
Doctor :   bye for now
