User :   Lately, my nails have been very weak and easy to tear, so that I have to keep them clipped short to prevent any rips; what is going on? Also, one of my nails has become weaker than the rest, to the point where it's soft enough to have flattened out at the edge; this nail also has alot of grooves and scratches in it. Why is this?
Doctor :   Hi Dr here
Doctor :   let me read ur query,
Doctor :   Give me a minute
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   i guess you have either platynychia or koilonychia , Which could be due to iron deficiency
Doctor :   Also it could be due to a condition called Psoriasis, which produces a pitting of nails
Doctor :   there are other conditions like lead or arsenic poisoning as well
Doctor :   all depends on the exact clinical findings,
User :   ah, ok. thank you
