User :   Hi my daughter is a 20 month old with a congenital maelanocytic nevus with features of atypia its about 3cm irregulary-pigmented and bordered patch on her right medial labia majora extending towards introtus. She was born with this. I ve gone to a dermotoligist however was refered to get a second or even third opinion.
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Has a biopsy study been done on the lesion ?
Doctor :   Are you there ?
User :   No biopsy has been done yet
Doctor :   I would consider it to be the best test which can give detailed insights into the type and the risk involved with the lesion
Doctor :   The biopsy HPE ( Histopathology test ) will study into the minute microscopic details of the lesions
User :   on the last dermotoligy visit plastic surgery was recommended, but im scared to do such thing
Doctor :   Plastic surgery could be a choice if cosmetic correction is the reason
Doctor :   but first you have to get to know the type of the growth it is
User :   is this a common situation
Doctor :   the safety of the future after excision would be better understood if the type and nature of the growth is made out
User :   thank you very much for your time and information
Doctor :   yes, its a common presentation , but the biopsy test would rule out the dangers after the surgery
Doctor :   You are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
