User :   Hi, I need to chat with a pediatrician
Doctor :   Hi I am a general practitioner, i can help you with your queries, if not i will refer you to pediatrician.
User :   I am mother of a six month old baby and my query is about my daughter's head shape
Doctor :   Please proceed with your query
User :   its partly flat on one side
User :   can u pls let me know if it will be alright as she grows or it requires any medical attention
Doctor :   Is it present since birth or presently child is having it.
User :   yes
User :   her pediatrician says it will be alright as she grows older
Doctor :   Just follow her developmental milestones carefully, if they are perfect it will be fine with age. Its called plagiocephaly.
User :   she is absolutely normal and achieving developmental milestones
Doctor :   Then thats fine.It more commonly happens in infants of normal development who sleep in one position for long periods of time.
User :   how much it might take for this to come to normal shape
Doctor :   It is usually corrected by 18 months to 2 years of age.
User :   any specific instructions to be followed for this
Doctor :   There is no evidence that plagiocephaly is harmful to brain development, vision, or hearing or any other way.
Doctor :   Just see that the child does not sleep in one position for long time.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Is there anything else i can help you with?
User :   should we consult the doctor if it is not improving in the next months or is it ok to wait till she is 18months
Doctor :   You can wait, if any developmental abnormality is there then you can.
User :   ok doctor, thank you, thats all for now
