Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   When did you start the medication?
User :   menstrual cycle
User :   before 4 days back
User :   can u suggest me any other tablet
User :   my marriage is there
User :   you there
Doctor :   Primolut N is a progesterone containing pill which works by supplementing progesterone hormones.
Doctor :   All the medications that help delaying the periods can be used to prevent/delay periods, if you are not having the periods.
Doctor :   Since you report that you have started your periods, then the pills may not help.
User :   i know. Atleast i want to avoid on the day of wedding
User :   so can u suggest any other medicine
User :   and also when i have to start take
Doctor :   Hormone pills used for delaying periods are not to be used when you have already started your periods.
Doctor :   If your periods have already began and you are having normal flow, then the pills may not be effective.
User :   my marriage is on this month end n we are planning to go abroad on 5th of march. so i want to avoid periods on these days
Doctor :   You can use progesterone only pills(which can be obtained by a prescription from a gynecologist) in your subsequent cycles.
User :   k
Doctor :   The pills needs to be used few days - 3-4days before the expected date of periods.
User :   ok.
User :   is it harmful??
Doctor :   If you are looking for birth control /family planning along with delaying the periods,
User :   any side effects
Doctor :   you can use birth control pills which can be also effective in delaying your periods too.
User :   no
Doctor :   yes, pills can come with side effects.
User :   we have decided not to go with pills for birth control
Doctor :   Since primolut N and other progesterone only pills are hormone pills, you can have nausea, mild headaches, mood changes, back aches, breast enlargement/tenderness with these medications.
Doctor :   However such effects are reported in a few, while a few have had no worries with the pills.
Doctor :   Hence I suggest you this, use the pills only when needed.
User :   i am planning to take pills only this month
Doctor :   Yes,
Doctor :   that will be a good decision.
User :   before i never taken pills to post pone
User :   periods
Doctor :   Consult with a gynecologist who will prescribe you the medications which will help you.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   ya
