User :   My 10 year old has a fever and white patches on back of throat. Pretty sure it's strep. It's Sunday. His fever started yesterday. Does he need antibiotics ASAP? Should I plan on showing up at doctor's office first thing tomorrow or urgent care clinic tonight?
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :
User :   hi
Doctor :   yes, he needs antibiotics , before he develops LRTI (lower respiratory tract infection)
User :   Would it be okay to just prescribe them to him (his doctor over phone) or does he need to be seen today at clinic first?
Doctor :   he has to be examined to make sure whether its phryngitis or tonsillitis
Doctor :   as the choice of antibiotics differ
User :   tonsils are gone it's on his phayrnx...back wall of throat
Doctor :   ok, did he undergo tonsillectomy ?
User :   yes
Doctor :   ok,
Doctor :   but still i would ask you to take him to get examined , i do not want your child to be put on wrong antibiotics
User :   of course. I appreciate your time. I think we'll get him on them tonight and head over to his regular pediatrician tomorrow. Does that seem reasonable?
Doctor :   very much
User :   again, I thank you for your time and providing this care. Good day.
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
