User :   I have petit mal seziures, but they completly stop while i was pregnant and returned after i delivered i wonder why?
User :   I am on medication now but i did not have to take uring my pregnancy
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   they went away the full 9 months and returned a couple of days after i delivered
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   I think it may have been a hormone that my son my have been letting of into my body that stop the seziures what do you think
Doctor :   Since when has the seizures recurred?
User :   they reoccured 2-3 days after my baby was born
Doctor :   Ok.

Doctor :   I was av that i may stop?
Doctor :   Av in that sentence.
User :   sorry my computer is old.. it should say adv ( advised
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Not you have to go back doctor and discuss about medication for it? like Ethosuximide.
Doctor :   I meant now.
User :   i am on medication now i just wonered why they would have stopped during pregnancy
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   I am 29 i have been having them since age 8
Doctor :   OK.
User :   never grandmal just absence seziures which are rare for my age as i understand
Doctor :   Yes.
Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   is there any reason they may have stop i think it was maybe a hormone
Doctor :   If the seizures have stopped during the pregnancy,it is good.
Doctor :   But there is possible explanation for that.
User :   ok
User :   what is the explanation
Doctor :   I meant there no possible explanation for that.
Doctor :   Did you follow what i have said?
User :   I dont understand that because when i got pregnant and my doc told me to stop my meds he said that they will either get better or worse with pregnancy
User :   mine got better, they stop so there has to be some kind of explanation
Doctor :   It is just a observation in many patients.
User :   why pregnancy would affect petit mal seziures
User :   Is there any studies on it ?
Doctor :   It cannot be explained.
User :   Why
Doctor :   There is not much studies done on that.
User :   it has to be some hormone that is released into the body maybe. i had a boy so maybe testosterone?
Doctor :   Very doubtful about that.
User :   well it had to be something... I just wonder why they COMPLETLY STOPPED
User :   then started right after he was born
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   it had to have been something he was releasing into my body or something
User :   to trigger correct brain activity
User :   to stop the seziures
Doctor :   During pregnancy some women experience increase and some decrease in number of attacks of seizures.
Doctor :   But there is no documented evidence for that.
User :   but why? and does the sex of the baby have anything to do with the increaase or decrease of seziures.
User :   Well maybe you should be the first to o a study
Doctor :   I don't think sex of the baby has any thing to do with it.
Doctor :   I surely will suggest a study on this issue.
Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   im here
Doctor :   Is there anything else i can help you with?
User :   just dont understand why this had never been looked into further
Doctor :   You are right.
User :   i still did not get answer. and i want one
User :   if you had to guess what woul you guess be based on you experience with seziure patients
Doctor :   As i said there no possible explanation for it.
Doctor :   Can i ask you few questions?
User :   sure
Doctor :   Were the doctor able to find the cause for you seizures?
User :   yes I ran into a tree when i was younger riding a bike that was too big for me
User :   and hit my head and fell and got knocked out
Doctor :   So it is due to headinjury, you are saying the reason for it?
User :   yes
Doctor :   What age were you at that time?
User :   i was diagnosed in 3rd grade but i had them longer then that my parents did not understand what thry were nor did i say i ran into a tree until the doc asked me in 3rd grade
User :   so it may have been a year or so b4 3rd grade
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   From when did have seizures?
User :   i would say they were almost immediate/ but i dont have a tru recolection of them either
