User :   Some food went down the wrong pipe, and while I was choking uncontrollably, my left forearm started hurting and was becoming numb. Is this a normal reaction?
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   DR XXX here
User :   Hi
Doctor :   Yes, it is a part of chocking reflex
User :   phew - i thought it was something more serious since it was my left arm
User :   thank you!
User :   Can I ask you another question?
Doctor :   Yes please
User :   I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck from a virus that I'm still getting over. I wake up every morning with a ring of sweat around my neck. What is causing that? Is it the lymph nodes?
Doctor :   Are they painful?
User :   No
User :   Is it just the virus coming out of my system?
Doctor :   What viral infection where you diagnosed of ?
User :   I seem to think it was cat scratch fever, but i never got a blood test to determine that. (We got a new kitten a couple of months ago)
User :   I wasn't given an actual diagnosis. I know I had a bacterial infection on top of the virus (pink eye, ear infection, upper resp infection - the whole 9 yards) and i was placed on Azythromicin.
User :   But the night sweats and lymph nodes thing continues.
User :   Have been battling this since the end of June.
Doctor :   Its better to go for a lymph node biopsy in that case
Doctor :   which would provide the exact cause
User :   do you know what causes the neck/night sweats though? Is that usually a lymph node symptom?
Doctor :   yes, could be due to local rise of temperature
User :   Interesting. I hope it goes away soon. If it doesn't I will get checked out. Thanks very much for your help!
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting ,
Doctor :   please provide your feedback
User :   ok - will do. Thanks again.
