My brother have piles. would like to know the treatments avilable for this.

Doctor :   Dr. XXXXXXXX here

Doctor :   has it been diagnosed? if yes is it external or internal piles?
User :   More than 15 yrs now he is 27
Doctor :   ok
User :   It is bleeding also
Doctor :   ok.
Doctor :   The primary cause for developing piles is chronic constipation and other bowel disorders. The straining that results in order to evacuate the constipated bowels, and the pressure caused on the surrounding veins leads to formation of piles.
Doctor :   Other causes include prolonged periods of standing or sitting , any strenuous work, obesity, general weakness of the tissues of the body, mental tension, and heredity
User :   currently he is a little weak and under medication
Doctor :   ok. what medications is he taking at present?
User :   what would be a permenent solution for this
User :   Iam not sure. needs to check with him
Doctor :   the solution would depend on the type of piles and the staging of piles
User :   ok.
Doctor :   the type could be external, internal or combination of both
Doctor :   and stage col dbe stage 1, 2 or 3
Doctor :   *could be
User :   okay
Doctor :   Stage 1- piles develop inside the rectum or anal canal, may or may not cause bleeding
Doctor :   treatment involves either resection or local application of medications
Doctor :   Stage-2 - here, piles protrude from the anus when the bowels are opened, but return inwards of their own accord afterwards. Here too bleeding could be there or be very minimal.
Doctor :   treatment would be to surgically excise them and look for any fistula to close them
Doctor :   Stage -3- Similar to stage 2 but they go inside only when pushed back manually- treatment is to look for laxity and correct the laxity of spinter
Doctor :   Stage-4- Piles hang permanently outside, and the only solution is to correct them surgically by resection and by closing fistulas if any
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
User :   Yes I got
