User :   when she began her period?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   what age
User :   13
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   did she have similar problem in the past
User :   no.
Doctor :   ok
User :   she thinks that she may be pregnant.. but i believe otherwise.
Doctor :   she can get a urine pregnancy done
User :   if it really needs to be done.. but may i explain first?
Doctor :   Sometimes ovulation or menses gets out of sync for a cycle or two and we never know why. It can be due to medications, colds, things eaten, stress, etc. Usually the rule of thumb is that if the abnormal bleeding persists 3 cycles in a row, you need to see the doctor because it may not get better on its own.
Doctor :   if she is not on contraception and having bleeding could indicate an ectopic pregnancy or early miscarriage.
Doctor :   to rule this
Doctor :   we need to do urine pregnancy
Doctor :   ok
User :   ok.. but the intercourse took place 11 days ago. a condom was used. and intercourse stopped before ejaculation.
Doctor :   still to be sure
Doctor :   we need to do a urine pregnancy done
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   if urine pregnancy is negative, u can wait and see if the bleeding cycles will straighten out on its own.
Doctor :   ok
User :   i asked a female sibling also.. about having 2 periods in one month. she answer that the same thing has happened to her before. something about a 28 day menstral cycle. and i also found similar confirmations on several health forums.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   if there is bleeding in between
Doctor :   periods
Doctor :   these are two things u can suspect
Doctor :   anything else u would like to know about
Doctor :   Have you filled the feedback form which I have sent?
User :   is it possilbe that she has just happened to hit one of these instances? my girlfriend said that this is a regular period [as far as she can tell, its not irregular. with the exception of a few days]
User :   yes.. i filled it out
Doctor :   did i clear all ur doubts
User :   wait.. you wrote that if bleeding between periods occurs.. i can suspect 2 things. what two things?
User :   pregnancy being one..
User :   and the other?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   miscarriage
Doctor :   or abortion
Doctor :   r u there
Doctor :   r u able to follow
User :   i understand you cannot kno for sure without a pregnancy test.. but out of your own opinion, do you think she is pregnant? considering that the intercourse took place over a week ago, there was use of a condom, there was no ejaculate, and this period is not too far off from a regular.
Doctor :   yes she can be
User :   really?
User :   do you mind explaining how it could be possible?
Doctor :   since periods are irregular
Doctor :   she might have being in fertile phase
Doctor :   when u people had sex
Doctor :   pregnancy can result from condom failure as well
Doctor :   ok
User :   even if ejaculation did not occur?
Doctor :   single drop of semen is enough to make a women pregnant even in inner thigh near vagina
Doctor :   it has been proved
Doctor :   rather documented
Doctor :   and no contraceptive is 100% safe
Doctor :   rather 100 % effcetive
Doctor :   they do have failure rates
Doctor :   as well
User :   no contraceptive?
Doctor :   i meant to say all form of contraceptives
Doctor :   do have failure rates
Doctor :   various methods
Doctor :   anything else u would know about
User :   how would i be able to differentiate a normal period that just happened to fall in the same month as a prior period, and a pregnancy?
Doctor :   normally if a women has 28-30 day cycle
Doctor :   if u consider the first day of bleeding as 1st of cycle
Doctor :   then
Doctor :   she will fertile from 8th day to 18th day
Doctor :   14 th day of her cycle she will be fertile
Doctor :   most fertile
Doctor :   rest of days
Doctor :   r u there
User :   yes
Doctor :   from day1 to 7 th and 19th to 28 day are safe periods
Doctor :   if periods become irregular
User :   is there a chance that this is just nothing? and that her period just happened to land on this month twice due to her menstrual cycle?
Doctor :   yes might be
Doctor :   thats the reason i told u get a pregnancy done
Doctor :   to be sure
Doctor :   ok
User :   alright.. thank you very much. if you would like to post that feedback thing again, i would be glad to put something in for your helping me
