User :   I have been having I believe partial nocturnal seizures: when I sleep I have a weird electrical feeling in my head with a lot of pressure and pain in the back of my head also my right side will spasm. On top of that my pupils won t dilate as they should, my head/brain gets very hot feeling w/out a fever, I have a weird numbness almost as if my right arm and leg aren t attached which causes me to shake them because it s so uncomfortable, bright blue and white floaters, blurred vision, severe mood changes, tinnitus in my right ear, occasional hallucinations, and for the last week I have had a huge painful lump on the right side at the base of my skull when I put ice on it, it makes it hurt more and it caused the right side of my face and ear to go numb. I am very worried, all of this with the exception of the lump started about a month and a half ago.
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Dr xxxx here
User :   Hello
Doctor :   please give me a couple of minutes to read your post
User :   ok
Doctor :   Have you visited your Gp for the same ?
User :   I have an appointment on friday but, unfortunately I don't have much faith in this particular office they have misdiagnosed me before
Doctor :   this is a complex combination of symptoms you have , you have to consult a neurologist and get a scan of the brain done
Doctor :   and also need an detailed examination of the sensory and motor systems
User :   I assumed as much. I was wondering if I should go to the ER or wait it out? I do have congentital spinal stenosis so perhaps it has something to do with it? It's very scary and the onset was pretty sudden.
Doctor :   it appears as a combination of both central and peripheral nervous system involvement
Doctor :   I consider in meeting the neurologist soon rather wasting time from doctor to doctor
User :   ok. does any of this sound like a tumor or caused possibly by the stenosis?
Doctor :   have to get the scan
Doctor :   possibilities of tumor cannot be excluded
User :   ok thanks. off the top of your head can you think of any common ailments that could cause these altogether like this?
Doctor :   considering the commonest cause being ICSOL
Doctor :   Intracranial space occupying lesions
User :   and how serious is that?
Doctor :   depends on the subtype
Doctor :   which could be made out in a scan
User :   ok one more question, is a P.A. able to refer me for a scan or the doctor. i am seeing his P.A. on friday and like I said I don't have much faith. I need to get a scan done asap I would assume. How can I get them to give me a referal and not brush me off?
Doctor :   Ask them straight for it ,
Doctor :   you can get it on your will
User :   as with a neurologist too?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   ok thank you very much.
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me ,
Doctor :   kindly provide your feedback
