User :   I've had pins & needles type tingling in my right arm for 36hours. Have also had a "heavy chest" feeling. I've had an ECG recently which was ok apart from that my BP was quite high. I drink to much probably or certainly have so in the last week. I'm a 30 year old male non smoker & 3 or so stone over weight

Doctor :   ok, Since when do you have high BP and are you on any medication for the same ?
User :   Since December am not on any meds.

User :   To be honest I'm not sure but it was fairly high

Doctor :   and is the left arm completely normal ?
User :   Yes no problems

User :   No just like a sort minor heavy weight on my chest but no pain & no breathing problems

User :   No nothing & I'm right handed
Doctor :   I meant weakness since you have the pins and needles sensation ?
User :   Ah body weakness no nothing
Doctor :   ok, the numbness or pins and needles is called paraesthesia and seen in
Doctor :   some common conditions like
Doctor :   nerve weakness or spinal cord compression
Doctor :   i would advice you to take Multvitamin preparation mainly containing VIT B 12
Doctor :   it will help if its only nerve weakness
Doctor :   if the abnormal sensation is progressing faster and develop weakness in the arm , then i suggest you to get a MRI scan of both head and neck
User :   Another physician on line told me to take ibuprofen as it might be stress related?
Doctor :   no , i do not think ibuprofen will help
Doctor :   may be it is stress related as nerve weakness can be expected in stress , but treated well by Vit B12
