User :   Hi, I have had heart palpitations for some years now, but I had an odd on tonight and now I've been going through panic and anxiety for some hours. My doctor has told me in the past the heart palpitations are due to hormonal imbalances, but I want to be sure it is still normal.

User :   I'm 21 years old.

Doctor :   May I know since when you have been having palpitations ?
User :   It's been 2-3 years.
Doctor :   And May I know the etiology ?
User :   I don't know what you mean. Please elaborate.
Doctor :   I mean do you know or have been diagnosed previously the reason for palpitations ?
User :   Oh. My doctor has told me in the past that the heart palpitations were from hormonal imbalances.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   May I ask you a few more questions about your problem yesterday and as a whole o help you better ?
User :   Yes.
User :   yesterday?
Doctor :   Has he told you that you have a Thyroid gland hyper secretion ?
Doctor :   T3,T4 Hormones in excess ?
User :   No. I have had blood tests for thyroid and it has come back negative.
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   I also have anxiety and panic attacks so I'm very upset right now as well.
Doctor :   How was the feeling yesterday, Did you have any angina, vomiting, nausea , etc . ?
Doctor :   Any shortness of breath ?
User :   No, but I did work very hard at my job last night. No shortness of breath. Lots of anxiety though.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Didnt you sleep well yesterday
User :   No, I did not have much sleep.
User :   and I am very tired now, but my anxiety is making me restless.
Doctor :   That is a very important reason - sleepless ness, or lack of sleep, too much physical activity or anxiety.
User :   This can make me feel bad?
Doctor :   Please stay calm, take some proper rest.
User :   What about indigestion?
User :   I will as soon as I finish speaking with you.
Doctor :   If you have lots of coffee, chocolates, alcohol or even smoke can cause palpitations .
User :   I don't drink alcohol or caffeine, but yes I do eat chocolate and smoke. My mouth is also dry.
Doctor :   Lifestyle factors that can cause palpitations include: Strong emotions ;
Strenuous exercise ;
Smoking ;
Consuming too much of a caffeinated beverage (such as coffee, tea, cola) or other caffeine-containing product (such as chocolate) ;
Drinking too much alcohol ;
Stress or anxiety ;
Certain medications (such as diet pills or thyroid hormone replacement) ;
Certain over-the-counter medications (such as decongestants), certain diet ; supplements, and "recreational" drugs.

Doctor :   3. Avoid lots of cofee-chocs.
User :   I will stop smoking.
Doctor :   4.Switch over to lots of fruits, veggies, juices
User :   Should I take amitryptiline to help me sleep or will this make my palpitations worse?
Doctor :   5. Have lots of nuts and honey.
Doctor :   6. Have a good nights sleep , at least 7 hrs.
Doctor :   7. Have a proper regime of nice rythmic and relaxing physical exercise and massages like yoga and massage therapies, sauna,etc.

User :   So do I should get some sleep?
Doctor :   Yes nice sleeep is a must, if you are not able to - switc over to nice relaxing, smooth music and nice aroma which eases you and gets you into a sleep mode.
