User :   Hi. I had a swollen ball under my armpit that was big and painful. The same night I got sick and was vomitting. It eventually went down after 3 days and I feel better but I can still feel it...the ball is smaller and it is no longer painful.
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   Dr. XXXXXXXX here.
Doctor :   let me read what you have typed
Doctor :   could you describe the appreance of the bump in detail?
Doctor :   *appearance
User :   It is a Lymph Node
User :   It is under the skin
Doctor :   is it mobile, are you able to make it move?
Doctor :   is it soft, firm or hard in consistency?
Doctor :   since when have you had it?
User :   i mean i can move it with my skin you know
Doctor :   has it grown in size as compared to the time you first noticed it?
User :   and i guess it is medium consistancy
User :   It has gotten small
User :   er
User :   At first it was like the size of a bean and now it is the size of a pea
Doctor :   ok
User :   when it was big it hurt now it only hurts when i stretch my arm a certain way but it barely hurts that way
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   you can take Tylenol tablets 1 tablet 2 times a day for control of pain
Doctor :   in case the bump is benign in nature it will slowly go away as the inflammation goes down
User :   It is not painful all the time though. Only like 1% of the time.
Doctor :   ok, then you can wait and watch
User :   Do you think it was linked to me becomming sick?
Doctor :   if it continues to remain teh same
Doctor :   then get it examined once to make sure it is only simple lymph node enlargement and not any other problem
User :   Okay thank you...But do you think it was linked to when I got sick?
Doctor :   it could be linked when you were sick, lymph nodes are known to grow big with acute illness and later come back to normal
User :   Okay. Thanks. Are there any vitamins that I could take that would help it out. Or OTC?
Doctor :   Multivitamins will help you to boost your immunity
Doctor :   maintain an well balanced diet along with it
