User :   Hi Doctor....very recently i am experiencing pain under my foot while walking...just want to know the possible reason for this
Doctor :   Can you tell be about the pain in detail?
User :   i feel this pain while walking only...recently i had underegone medical teat, the uric acid is showing as 7 mg/df...
Doctor :   may i know your age, weight, height ?
User :   i am 40 yrs old, weight 92, sugar fasteing- 94, sugar pp 129, cholestrol- 188, hdl cholestrol- 29, ldl cholestrol 139,
User :   height- 177cm
Doctor :   Do you have any medical condition like diabetes, hypertension.
User :   i have bad habits like smoking 15 sticks per day and drink couple of pegs 4 - times a week
User :   no such symptons
Doctor :   have any Xrays , etc done?
User :   yesh...xray reports states rotation + STs + bony cage normal, bilateral lung fields normal, bilateral costophernic angles normal, cardiac silhouette normal, arota + adn final impression no abnormality detected
Doctor :   This was the chest x ray, was any Xray of leg done?
User :   echo also done- final conclusion- good left ventricular systolic function with adequate diastolic compliance, LEV- 65%
Doctor :   LEG pain can be due to no of reasons, including injuries, arthritis, infections, ligament tears, etc.
User :   i didnt go for any xray for leg...there is no pains in the bones, i feel pain under the foot only

Doctor :   does the pain come on, when you press on the sole of the foot?
User :   yesh, feel unconfortable while wakling only

Doctor :   This could be due to a ligament tear or thickening.
Doctor :   Or It could be due to a corn or thorn prick.
User :   i have not faced any such symptoms..
Doctor :   Then i feel your problem is most probably due to ligament or soft tissue damage, within the sole of the foot.
Doctor :   Is there any redness, yellowish discoloration in the foot?
User :   ok...then whom should i refer get this chekced...
User :   no colour change...all is normal...
Doctor :   See a podiatrist (foot doctor)
User :   one of my freind was saying that this pain could be due to high uric that true
Doctor :   your uric acid levels is 7.0 , which is normal (range 3.6-8.2 is normal)
Doctor :   high uric acid causes gout, which can present as redness and pain in the big toe, BUT not in the sole of the foot.
User :   ok...what abt cholestrol- is that normal as well
Doctor :   gout affects the joints.
Doctor :   for your age, the target should be -
Doctor :   LDL - less than 100
Doctor :   total cholesterol - around 150
User :   how to control this
Doctor :   HDL - above 50 is good
User :   and also how to increase the HDL
Doctor :   diet , excercise, good lifestyle , cardio .workout in gym are some important ways which you can achieve this goal.
User :   can i continue with my drinking
Doctor :   no , absolutely not
Doctor :   15 CIGS is too much, TRY to reduce them, by using nicotine gum or nicotine patches.
Doctor :   please see a podiatrist or orthopedician for your foot pain.
User :   can you suggest some gums to start
Doctor :   nicorette gum , is available in the pharmacy, but the dose needed has to be decided by a physician after a physical examination.
Doctor :   The gum has different doses, which need to be titrated accordingly.
