User :   I have pain inside my Vagina. If I were to put a finger inside, not too far from the opening and push back (towards the direction of the back passage) the muscles there would ache. I am worried as this pain is becoming common during sex. I am clear of STD's but was once diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis. What could the pain be related to? I was also thinking it may also have something to do with digestion?
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Dr here
User :   Hi
Doctor :   Was the diagnosis of Vaginosis made and by whom?
User :   a doctor, I've always been with the same partner and had an std check
User :   i was clear, but its almost like im having pelvic floor muscle pain
User :   I dont have pain anywhere else
Doctor :   Ok, Yes the pain can be expected in vaginitis too
Doctor :   Its a reffered pain
User :   its only when i push against the wall of the vagina, or pressure is put at that point, towards the muscles which may also be involved in digestion, i get the pain, there is no pain towards the front
Doctor :   and whenever there is gaseous abdomen the pain may increase due to increase in the intraabdominal pressure
Doctor :   ok, i do get the fact
Doctor :   you are right its due to pelvic floor muscles reflex spasm
User :   could it be pelvic inflammatory disease? I'm worried about it, or is that only really pain of the upperpa
Doctor :   if is a PID ( pelvic inflm disease) it would be severe and you would run high fever
Doctor :   And you would have many other local symptoms , and can be easily picked by the USG scan
Doctor :   the pain would be more severe and diverse
