User :   I just wanted to check what all areas does your medical advice cover

User :   My name is Shalabh, I am based in the UK. I dont know if you cover prescriptions and if yes, would that prescription be valid in the UK.

User :   Thanks. I anyway also wanted to check if you advise on physiotherapy as well.

User :   Ok. I am a regular badminton player and I have some issues I have been facing, particularly lower legs.
Doctor :   ok please proceed
User :   I walk around 4 Kms in a day, to and fro from home to office and play badminton around 40 minutes a day, 5 times a week. Since I walk fast and play regular badminton, my lower legs take a lot of beating. I often feel a strain in the shin muscles.
User :   I dont know if I got the name right, I meant the muscles around the shin, just adjacent to the calf.
Doctor :   ok
User :   And while I have never twisted an ankle, there is a lot of strain sometimes on the ankles as well.
Doctor :   its basically the fact that after an exertion there accumulation of metabolites in the muscles
User :   I was wondering what could be the reason for this.
Doctor :   known as lactic acid
Doctor :   which needs to be drained out
User :   Yeah but regular playing should take care of that, should'nt it?
Doctor :   and it takes time
Doctor :   yes along with regular playing you need to follow these simple steps
Doctor :   take a nice hot water bath
Doctor :   and take lot of fluids
Doctor :   which includes citrous fruits
User :   I actually take a hot water bath immediately after playing everyday and I eat upto 4 oranges a day in addition to a couple of apples, around 4 litres of water and some juices.
Doctor :   and keep moving your calf muscles evry 30 min
Doctor :   massage the msucles a little time to time
Doctor :   this should make an easy drainage
Doctor :   and relieve you of pain
Doctor :   if still it persists then visit an orthopedician and get an examination done to see if you have injured any part or any stress injury
User :   Thanks, I think I will try the message, I was actually also concerned if this has anything to do with my daily diet i.e. am I missing something in that?
Doctor :   no just eat a balanced diet and less junk food that should do
Doctor :   anything else i can help you with?
User :   Well, honestly junk food is close to 0 but I am not sure if I eat a balanced diet. If it is ok, can I tell you a little about my daily diet and maybe you could let me know if there is anything I am missing.

User :   A bowl of cereal with full fat milk for the breakfast, around 400-600 Gms.
Doctor :   ok
User :   Lunch is usually whatever I can get hold of. Its usually one of the following
User :   Pasta, Chinese food, mushroom pie, salad

User :   Dinner is mostly fruits. 1-2 apples, 2-3 oranges, some grapes and some wholemeal biscuits.
User :   This is it for weekdays. Weekends normally are a mix of various things and not as regular.
Doctor :   this is infact a good diet plan you are following
User :   So, does that mean it covers most of what I should be taking in everyday?
Doctor :   yes it does
User :   If that is the case, then I guess I will try exercising the legs on a regular basis. Hopefully, this should help.
Doctor :   also make sure you drink 1.5-2 lts of plain water
