Doctor:Are you active sexually?
Doctor:Have you had similar problems in the past?
Doctor:Were your periods normal and regular in the past?
User:i dint have any problem
User:its only now
User:yes active
Doctor:Have you tested for pregnancy?
Doctor:*Urine pregnancy test?
User:negative results
User:just did it yesterday morning
User:i mean the test
Doctor:Let me brief you now.
Doctor:Right lower abdomen pain can occur due to numerous medical condition related to the intestines, appendix, renal system and genitourinary tract.
Doctor:It may also occur due to muscular causes too.
User:so it would not be pregnancy right??
Doctor:Since you do not have any other associated symptoms here, the following can be the possible causes.
Doctor:Since you have tested for pregnancy - it is unlikely that your current symptoms could be related to pregnancy
Doctor:both intrauterine pregnancy and ectopic are highly unlikely.
User:any bloodtest that i need to take in addition to the test to rule that out
User:then what may be the cause
User:and what do you suggest
User:what actin should i tae???
Doctor:Since you have associated menstrual irregularity, it is possible that the pathology is related to reproductory system - ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammation, fibroids and so on needs to be ruled out.
Doctor:We may be able to rule out these pathologies by performing a simple ultrasound examination.
Doctor:If an ultrasound examination is normal, the cause could be a muscular ache wherein simple analgesics such as diclofenac taken for a few days will relieve you off your symptoms.
Doctor:Hence I urge you to get the test done.
Doctor:For better results, you could get the test done after a clinical examination by your gynecologist.
Doctor:Based on the ultrasound findings we will definitely be able to get into the root of this problem and treat it.
Doctor:Have you followed what I suggested?
Doctor:Are you there?
Doctor:Are you there?
Doctor:Are you there?
Doctor:I have to close the window as you are not responding.
Doctor:Do login 24/7 to chat with a doctor if you have any more queries.
Doctor:Welcome again.
Doctor:Are you there?
Doctor:I had mentioned my suggestions to you on your problem earlier.
Doctor:I hope it is clear to you.
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:yes sort of
User:and why the scanty period??
Doctor:Scanty period occurs due to hormonal changes.
Doctor:This could be due to some physiological changes or secondary to those pathology which I mentioned.
User:could it be menopause
Doctor:Hence my suggestion to get an ultrasound.
User:could it be menopause
Doctor:Menopause is generally seen after 40 - 45 years and rarely
Doctor:it early menopause can occur as early as 35 years.
Doctor:But as your periods were normal and regular, I do not think we are dealing with menopause now.
Doctor:The ultrasound scan will give us clue to what could be the cause now.
User:coz it was extremely scanty last month
User:and came within 20 days of my last period
Doctor:I understand your concern.
User:and i am 35
User:so was worried
Doctor:As the pain is persisting, the scan can be of immense help.
User:whether it could be pregnancy or menopause
Doctor:As I mentioned earlier, pregnancy is unlikely as you tested it and found negative.
Doctor:And since your previous periods are regular, early menopause is also unlikely.
Doctor:The cause could be a muscular ache or a reproductory pathology as described earlier.
User:so the fact that last period was too scanty and dint last for more that two days doesnt mean anything right
Doctor:You can get the ultrasound scan to rule out the latter cause.
Doctor:If the scan is normal, then the scanty period is not concerning.
Doctor:We would need to address the scanty flow if there is an abnormality on ultrasound or if similar symptoms happen in the future.
User:so u suggest an ultrasound and a gyneac consultation before that right???
User:do u have any gyneac in my area who i can consult
Doctor:Consultation with gynecologist and ultrasound scan will be useful to find the root cause.
Doctor:May I know your location?
Doctor:Are you there?
User:u there???
Doctor:I do not have any personal reference in Mumbai, but I can give you a link from our website.
Doctor:It has user written reviews of gynecologist
Doctor:currently practising Mumbai
Doctor:I hope it will be useful to you.
Doctor:Please give me a minute.
User:pls do
