User :   I am having alot of pain in the joint of my right jaw. It is aching alot. It hurts to chew, clench, laugh, yawn and i cant eat properly. It started yesterday but has become worse today!
Doctor :   Did you hurt your jaw anytime in recent ?
User :   not that i know of
Doctor :   Did it start suddenly ?
User :   yes, i woke up yesterday morning like this
User :   although i have always had a clicky jaw
Doctor :   Ok, have you tried any medications for the same ?
User :   no
User :   because it is not normally painfull
Doctor :   Do you have ear ache or headache now , I mean associated with the jaw pain ?
User :   no, just the jaw pain
Doctor :   Ok, So the pain is only when you try to chew on that side ?
User :   yes and i cant open my mouth very wide
Doctor :   Ok, Such presentation can be seen due two possible causes
Doctor :   one being simple Massetar spasm ( muscle of mastication - chewing )
Doctor :   and the other acute TMJ syndrome
Doctor :   the cause for either could be a simple malocclusion for longer time which sometimes do happen in deep sleep
User :   how do i fix it?
Doctor :   Giving rest to the joint for few hours will correct this,Do consume only juices for a day and avoid yawning and opening mouth widely
User :   can i take pain killers for it?
Doctor :   Also do take Tab Ibuprofen 400mg whenever you feel the pain is more
Doctor :   yes, you can as i mentioned above
User :   ok, so it will just go away by itself?

Doctor :   Yes*
User :   ok thank you.
