Doctor:Do u work a lot with computers ?
User:no injury that i remember
User:yes work on computers but not much
Doctor:does the pain come on or increase when you do a lot of typing, etc ?
Doctor:how long does the pain last , once it presents ?
User:its there when i turn and twist my wrist
User:it is not a very bad pain...pain is less and i can feel it whenever i turn and twist
Doctor:Most likely, you may be having soft tissue inflammation, conditions like synovitis, or tendonitis
Doctor:i would advice you to wear a wrist splint , on the affected hand for 2-3 weeks
Doctor:reduce any form of stress, like working with the hand, to only that are needed
Doctor:the wrist splint is available in most pharmacies,
Doctor:in addition, you may need to take pain medications , like CROCIN or DISPRIN,
Doctor:take either of the tablet, when u have severe pain
Doctor:also apply some heat or ice, to the area, it will numb the pain and also help in healing
User:ok..will do that
Doctor:In case, you have severe pain, and the above measures are not helping, you may need to consult with a orthopedician, for a physical examination
User:x-ray is normal
Doctor:soft tissue injuries, do not appear on X rays
Doctor:They need modalities like MRI
Doctor:but in your case they are not needed
User:ohh ok
Doctor:as it seems to be a mild one
Doctor:better pain medications, which need prescription can be given by the ortho doctor, after duly examining you
