User :   Your Question was: i am having ear pain after having server cold nd fever. Also, there is a continuous ringing sound in my ear for close to a week now. I took Veratin-16 but it has not reduced at all. Kindly advice me whow to get rid of the infection in my ear.
Our answer is: Hi. Thanks for the query. Viral Rhinitis (Cold) or bacterial infections can lead to the blockage of an auditory tube that connects the nasal cavity with the middle ear. It can also lead to an ear infection in later days. The symptoms that you mentioned represent that. The ear infection can sometimes lead to the ringing sensation. We recommend that you consult an ENT specialist as you need to undergo a few tests and direct examination along with antibiotics. Meanwhile you should 1)avoid cold weather, 2)avoid possible irritants like loud noises and smoking, 3)manage stress and 4)reduce alcohol intake.
