User :   I have some neck discomfort with very mild numbness in my face. Is this a nerve problem or could this be a sign of something like stroke?

User :   i have also experienced some discomfort with my neck muscles

Doctor :   are u a diabetic?
User :   yeah, I have high blood pressure that is controlled by Azor
Doctor :   Stroke does not present at this age
User :   i have insulin resistance

User :   so i am too young for stroke risk?
Doctor :   do u know whats your HBA1C
Doctor :   YES, young age of 34 STROKE IS less possible
User :   i had blood work 2 months ago, i believe my A1C was at 7 or 8
Doctor :   the issue with you could be cervical spondylosis or muscle strain due to your occcupation as a computer user

User :   i am on the computer literally all day long
User :   my neck muscles feel like a rubber band pulled too tight
Doctor :   the first and foremost, you need to get a Xrya of your neck, and then if normal, a MRI of your neck.
User :   i also can hear grinding when i turn my head
Doctor :   this will rule out any nerve compression by your spondylosis
Doctor :   this is definitely seems to be like spndylosis
User :   ok, i will mention this to my PCP

User :   i am very scared that it was possibly symptoms of stroke

Doctor :   this is not stroke, as the symptoms dont fit them
User :   i also do not have other symptoms of stroke, from what I read of it
Doctor :   but good control of BP, and diabetes are needed to prevent future macroand microvascular complications like retinopathy
Doctor :   make sure that the HBA1C is brought to less than 7.0 at least
Doctor :   and take some tylenol For the discomfort
Doctor :   apply heat at the affected site
User :   ok, will remember that
Doctor :   try relaxation and stretch excercises of the neck , and back to help you relax
User :   some times, the back of my head and scalp would tingle
Doctor :   change your work atmospere and add ergonomic easy chairs and computer parts that will help your state
