User :   Last night I talked to a doctor on here about my arm and hand feeling numb. He thought it might have been related to caffeine I drank at 3 PM yesterday. After, I drank a lot of water and went to bed. When I woke up today, the numbness was gone until I went to work out. After the workout I started to type something on my computer and the tingliness came back. I don't know what is going on or what I should do. Other than the tingliness and numbness, I feel fine. I have no problems typing and can still feel a prick on my arm real well. I have had some chest pain below my left breast, but it seems to only happen after I eat and when I burp or rub it it tends to go away.

Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Is this the first time you are having these sensations in the left hand?
User :   i am taking prevacid but jsut started today
User :   yesterday was the first time it had happened
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Such sensations can be due to a bit of nerve irritation
User :   there have been other times, but it made sense, like i would bump my arm or lift something heavy
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   such nerve irritation can be due an injury
Doctor :   or pressure on the nerve
User :   i jsut don't want it to be a stroke or heart attack
Doctor :   while working or sleeping
Doctor :   It isn't likely to be that
Doctor :   Don't worry
Doctor :   For now I would suggest you to consult a Orthopedician and get an examination done
Doctor :   to mainly rule out any nerve irritation
Doctor :   such symptoms occur
Doctor :   on the nerve in the neck or near the shoulder being interfered with
User :   i get some pain in my shoulder on my backside every now and then
User :   i rubi t and it typically goes away
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Such pains are quite common
Doctor :   in reflux issues as well
Doctor :   but it is better for you to get an examination
Doctor :   and get it reconfirmed
User :   ok
Doctor :   nothing serious as such
User :   in the meantime, is there anything i can do before the appointment?
Doctor :   like heart or stroke issue
Doctor :   Try not to strain the part
User :   ok..
Doctor :   while working or sleeping
Doctor :   provide rest to it
User :   ok
Doctor :   not much of exertion at the neck and elbow
Doctor :   shoulders as well
User :   you don't think that any of this would be related to a heart attack or stroke though..
Doctor :   As I mentioned it is quite unlikely
User :   ok
User :   well i will rest my arm and get an examination done...thank you for your input
Doctor :   You are most welcome
Doctor :   Is there any thing else I can help you with?
