User : Usually at night when i want to sleep, but sometimes in the day (especially when under pressure), I can hear a noise like my heartbeat in my head. I have also become quite red-faced in the last month & was worried that this was blood pressure?

User : No, i have been working long hours recently & feel a little drained, but the noise started before this work.

User : It has not been checked for about 12 months but was fine then.

User : Other than the heartbeat noise, i believe that i hear the same as everybody else.

Doctor : I can say the working diagnosis is abnormal l heart beats or palpitations
Doctor : You need physical examination , especially heart and lung examination and BP check up
Doctor : You also need basic lab work to rule out any anemia

Doctor : But the real investigations are: EKG and Echocardiogram
Doctor : If you hear abnormal heart sounds you need to make sure ur heart is normal
User : Yes, Thanks, I'll contact my GP, just wanted to know how serious it could be because i'm working at the opposite side of the country from home & getting to the GP will be difficult, thanks for your help.
