User :   hi Dr, i am facing neck pain, and pain below to my back right shoulder

User :   i feel this is because sitting 12hrs on work for last 7 days

Doctor :   as you said , i would also agree that the pain you are suffering from is related to the long working hours
Doctor :   this is a very common problem
Doctor :   and also since you travel by bike , this will aggravate it to a large extent
Doctor :   I would suggest you follow these things
Doctor :   1. Take TAB DOLO 500MG for the pain
Doctor :   2. You must avoid travelling on bumpy roads by bike , avoid long distances , take bus or alternate transport for some time
Doctor :   3. instead of using cushioned / soft mattress , you must switch to cotton hard bedding
Doctor :   this will give enough rest and support to the back
Doctor :   4. cut down on the intake of tea and coffee
Doctor :   5. daily physical activity like jogging , running and back strengthening exercises help a lot

Doctor :   5. make sure when at work you are in the right posture , always have a good comfortable chair and good back support

Doctor :   when at work , make sure you take a break for every half an hour for five mins or so

Doctor :   you coud also practising some neck and back exercises like rotations , stretching etc
Doctor :   this will relax the muscles and reduce the pressure on them
Doctor :   if things do not improve with good rest for a few days may be a week , you may need to see an Orthopedician for the same

User :   okay, i followed what you said. so is it normal to pain at back of my neck and below of neck, shoulder back

User :   oh its not the lower back, its upper back right below right shoulder

Doctor :   it could be an upper back pain as well , in such case we suspect cervical spondylosis

User :   while sleeping on hard bed, is it better to have pillow while sleep or its better witout pillow

Doctor :   other wise just use a hard pillow which is more to the bed level

Doctor :   you can take break with this posture
Doctor :   if pain is severe they may suggest neck collar

Doctor :   Sit or stand in a comfortable position
Turns your head slowly to one side.
Keep your shoulders down.
Relax and hold for 5-10 seconds.
Stop if pain is increased or has moved into the arm or toward the
