Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   Dr. XXXXXXXX here.
Doctor :   let me read what you have typed.
User :   hi sir
Doctor :   since the pain is still there, avoid lifting anything with the affected hand.
User :   ya sir, i am taking care of it
Doctor :   the loss of cervical lordosis indicates severe muscle spasm
Doctor :   are you on any medication at present?
Doctor :   are you on any physiotherapy?
User :   presently i am done wit medication and i got LTI on my left shoulder for five days
Doctor :   ok.
Doctor :   the numbness also indicates that there might be injury to nerves.
User :   can u tell me wat exactly i am suffering wit and how sever it is
Doctor :   i would recommend you to discuss about getting started on physiotherapy for cervical traction and IFT to control your pain and numbness.
Doctor :   the pain and numbness along with loss of cervical lordosis indicates that due to the injury, the muscles have gone into spasm causing the pain and pressing on nerve causing the numbness
User :   i even got ift for five days and was also suggested some exercises
Doctor :   if the symptoms are not relieved adequately, there could be problems with sensation in your thumb.
Doctor :   exercises should be done once pain is controlled.
User :   pain is quite under control now
Doctor :   see if physiotherapy can be continued for 15 days with intermtent traction, IFT and SWD to relieve muscle spasm
Doctor :   and get back the normal cervical lordosis or the spinal curve
Doctor :   continue with exercises as suggested.
User :   can u say hw serious my problem is
Doctor :   if the numbness is still not relieved at end of 15 days, then you might need to get nerve conduction studies.
User :   is there anythiong to worry about
Doctor :   since pain is controlled more or less as you said earlier, I would expect moderate severity
User :   should i get MRI done
Doctor :   yes, if the sensations do not come back to normal, then it is serious.
User :   initially i could not sleep lying down
Doctor :   and f the muscle spasm is not relieved, you will go into spondylosis like picture
Doctor :   MRI wll help n finding if there is any nerve compression
User :   nw i am, able to sleep but while getting up i experience this pain
Doctor :   ok
User :   even if i sit for a longer time i experience this pain
Doctor :   ok. when is the pain intensity maximum during the day?
User :   during night
Doctor :   please rate your pain on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest/maximum pain.
User :   initially it was 10, 25 days before, nw it has come dopwn to 6
Doctor :   ok.
User :   is there any operative things involved
Doctor :   no, not necessarily. If the MRI detects any nerve compression that is not getting relieved by physiotherapy and exercises, then operative procedure can be thought upon.
User :   wat is my present condition tells aboput
Doctor :   present condition is probably of moderate severity, adequate symptomatic relief is necessary to make sure you dont have future problems.
User :   can i lead a normal life
Doctor :   yes, you can lead a normal life
Doctor :   go ahead with the recommendations as given above.
User :   ya i will, the thing is that i play quite a few games like basketball, cricket, etc. will i able to play
Doctor :   es you will be able to play provided you give proper rest and relief to your neck, shoulder and hand now
Doctor :   once you are totaly symptom free. you can get back to normal life
Doctor :   it might take another 4-6 weeks time to get complete recovery with use of proper treatment modalities
User :   thanks a lot sir, i was worried quite a bit presently my symptoms have zeroed down to thumb numbness
Doctor :   ok. so you need to focus on the numbness and get it sorted out
User :   its almost 25 days over, i dont exactly have neck pain but ya i do have left sholder and left hand paining some times
Doctor :   ok
User :   are all of these symptoms lead to same problem
