Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hi
Doctor :   how can i help you
User :   I had nasal polypectomy 2 weeks ago. But still the wounds are not yet heeled. I would like to know how long it takes for the wounds to completely get heal.
Doctor :   when you sy the wounds are not yet healed- did the ENT tell you that- or are you having occasional bleeding from the nose?
User :   I can see it in the mirror and also blood stains can be seen when i spit.
Doctor :   did you have endoscopic surgery> or open surgery?
User :   It is an open surgery.
Doctor :   ok.......
Doctor :   so - you are saying the external scar has not yet healed?
User :   One of the nasal passage is little bulged and i feel little difficult to breath through that nose as compared to other.
Doctor :   that is the side the surgery was done?
User :   I don't have any external scar. I think it should be endoscopic surgery I am not very sure.
User :   yes.
User :   Wounds are present inside the nose.
Doctor :   yes- most nasal polyp surgeries are endoscopy only
Doctor :   if there is no external scar- it is endoscopic
Doctor :   are you having any fever?
Doctor :   how old are you?
User :   I don't have fever. But i have running nose.
User :   I am 25
Doctor :   how often are you getting the blood in the spit?
User :   Almost every time.

Doctor :   do you have any health problems previously? any allergies?
Doctor :   r u thr?
User :   i had sinusitis, I used have fever, cold very frequently.
User :   Yes I am here.
Doctor :   Do you smoke?
User :   I used to smoke but I had quit it some time ago.
Doctor :   if you have quit it completely- good- smoking can delay healing- the smoke passing through delays
Doctor :   healing considerably
Doctor :   are you currently on any medication?
User :   Yes I completed my course today morning.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Healing differs from person to person
Doctor :   even if you smoke occasionally/ are exposed to cigarette smoke passively now- it can affect healing
User :   Ok.
Doctor :   eating well and taking a multivitamin supplement can speed up healing- and avoid touching your nose/ trying to clear it- blowing very hard on the affected side for now
User :   The Bulge inside the nose clears after healing?
Doctor :   yes- it could be a blood clot which will dissolve- have you had it examined by your operating ENT surgeon?
User :   Yes he had examined it.
Doctor :   if he has said there is nothing to worry abt then it should be alright
Doctor :   is there anything else I can help you with?
User :   I feel very difficult to breath through that nose.. As compared to other that is making me worry. My surgeon examined it almost 2 weeks ago. Now I am at a different place. So i can not contact him also.
User :   I am washing my nose with NS solution, almost twice a day. Should i continue doing that?
Doctor :   you can do the douching carefully yes- but you need to see your ENT surgeon if it has been two weeks- you should have an appointment for a review
User :   OK. Thank you very much for your precious time.
Doctor :   welcome;
