User :   I am feeling Chest Pain right over my heart area for the last 20 days or so, Pain is very mild but pretty consistent. Pain aggrevates when i bow down or move my left hand towards right. Is this any symptoms of heart disease or anything else. kindly help??

User :   i had fever few months back

User :   no..i am pretty healthy..infact i do not have to visit any docor in last 12 years

User :   its only few months back i had visited doctor because of viral fever

Doctor :   Based on the description of the symptoms, there are two possible causes for your symptoms.
Doctor :   Its is unlikely to be a heart issue, as the description of the pain and duration of the pain is not similar.
Doctor :   The possible causes are
Doctor :   1. Musculoskeletal pain - which can occur due to inflammation or following an injury.

Doctor :   2. A reflux gastritis referred to as heart burn.
Doctor :   Both the causes are of not major concern.
Doctor :   I shall suggest you few measures that will help you.

Doctor :   1. Use antacid syrups such as Syp Mucaine gel 2 tsp before meals thrice daily for a week.

Doctor :   2. You may use mild analgesics such as paracetamol pain relief ( Dolo 650mg tablets or crocin pain relief) twice daily for 3 to 5 days.
Doctor :   3. Avoid hot and spicy food.
User :   pain is very mild

Doctor :   The analgesics are for antiinflammatory purpose and not for pain control, hence you can use them.
Doctor :   4. Restrict smoking and caffeine consumptions (both of which can aggravate the reflux symptoms.
User :   yeah i ahve laready cut down my smoking..infact working hard to quit it
Doctor :   5. Good bed rest - regular sleeping habits( minimum of 6 to 8 hours of sleep)
Doctor :   6. Regular eating habits is also necessary.
User :   i hope this is not something serious doctor??
Doctor :   7. Avoid stressors.

Doctor :   And lastly if the symptoms are persisting, then you may need to consult a doctor - a general physician for examinatino.

Doctor :   No, they are of not serious concern.
Doctor :   A general physician will do, as your pain is non cardiac in origin.

User :   yeah just wanted to know, why pain aggravates when i bow down and move my left hand towards right.. i do feel like its a kind of muscualr pain
User :   i have too use Mucaine gel and paracetamol
Doctor :   Change of position can increase both muscular pain, similarly
Doctor :   reflux symptoms also increases with change of position ( due to the decrease in the gravity).
Doctor :   It should be better with the measures that were suggested.
