User :   while the first three can be taken care of ..i was jus wondering what this condition is actually called , if you could advise
Doctor :   Without going into details of what this dentist has diagnosed,...
Doctor :   I can see that your jaws tend to tighten when you take cold food,..
Doctor :   There are various reasosn which cause this,...
User :   correct
Doctor :   One of these could be stress,..and cold food is a stimulus for this to happen,..
Doctor :   Do u live a stressful life,..I mean odd job hours,...
Doctor :   and do have pain in the jaws,..when u get up in the morning,..
User :   yes...long hours actually...have worked in a BPO for about 7 years now though dont work nights
Doctor :   which could be a sign of grinding your teeth in the night,...which again could be a sign of stress
User :   no pain in the mornings per se but on and off
User :   i see
Doctor :   Did the dentist prescribe anything for this condition?
User :   yes... unfortunately i dont have the prescription with me
User :   apologies!
Doctor :   I think it should not be a big problem,...because you have do not seem to be suffering from any neurological problems,...
Doctor :   Since you have had this only recently....
User :   ok...
Doctor :   Jaw muscle spasms can also be caused by badly aligned teeth,..
Doctor :   Since the Dentist u saw has not said anything about ur teeth alignment,..tht cannot be a problem,...
Doctor :   So,..the most probable case could be stress,...
Doctor :   so what I would suggest is tht u chill out for some time,...avoid the triggers of this episode,..which is cold food,..for sometime,..
Doctor :   Maybe 4-5 weeks,..
Doctor :   Things should smoothen it,...
User :   yes
