Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello
Doctor :   Can I help you?
User :   I have a small mole like growth on my head
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   To get a better picture I need this information--
Age: ; Occupation: ; Location: ; Marital Status:
User :   It's not clearly visible as it is covered by hairs around and does not pain or anything
User :   30, service, bangalore, married
Doctor :   What color is it
User :   its white in color, but has a peculiar shape - more like a coral !
Doctor :   How long has it been since you have had this
User :   I mean the base is like a mole with offshoots like tentacles but very small in size
User :   Its been for past 3 months approx.
Doctor :   Have you had any similar problems in the past?
Do you have any other health problems?
Diabetes/ high blood pressure/ Asthma/allergies etc?
User :   I have had this growth earlier almost 8-9 months back
User :   I donot have any other health problems.
Doctor :   Did it resolve by itself then?
User :   Last time I visited Apollo clinic, where the doctor electro cauterized it.
Doctor :   Was it on the same site?
User :   Yes almost the same site.
User :   and it seems to be filled with blood.
Doctor :   Is it soft or hard?
User :   It is soft.
Doctor :   Is it filled with blood all over ?
User :   No, the tentacle ends does not seem to be filled with blood, and once they get dried, usually while combing or something, the tentacle head breaks and falls off.
User :   Any ideas what it is? or Why its happening?
User :   Also, it does not grow in height much, the base size is same for past few days, only number of tentacles vary.
Doctor :   What is the size?
Doctor :   are you there?
User :   yes
User :   the size is similar to a small shirt button
Doctor :   What was the dermatologists diagnosis previously?
User :   she said its just a mole sort of a thing
User :   and no tests of any sort were done over it
Doctor :   Was the sample sent for histopathology?
User :   the doctor just saw it once and suggested cauterization
User :   What should I do now?
Doctor :   From the information given by you I deduce you probably have a benign verrucous wart which is lilkely to recur even after cauterisation
Doctor :   It is caused by a virus and you could go for cautery again
User :   but what if it occurs again?
Doctor :   But if the dermatologist suspects it could be a malignant lesion you could get histopathology done
User :   is there any permanent solution to this problem?
User :   is this some kind of a serious problem?
Doctor :   No it isn't but it has a tendency to recur maybe something like your common cold
User :   are there chances of it spreading to other areas?
User :   what precautions should I take?
Doctor :   It may resolve by itself but if it can be cauterised if it bothers you or does not resolve
Doctor :   Yes it could occur in other areas
User :   I'm worried about this problem...what is the best solution to this problem? for once and for all !
Doctor :   You should avoid touching it and spreading it to the normal surrounding skin
Doctor :   Avoid trauma to the skin
Doctor :   Any other query?
Doctor :   I have to close this window as there is no response from your side. Please get back if you need any medical advice.
