User :   I messed up my birth control bill this month. I had some bleeding a week before my period, which I thought nothing of because that has happened before when missing a pill/pills, however when I started my period it was on time.. but only lasted for three days. My periods are normally 5-6 days long. Could this mean I'm pregnant?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am Dr.
User :   Hi
Doctor :   Did you miss any pills was not clear in your query?
User :   Yes I did miss pills
Doctor :   How many and when?
Doctor :   When did you start the pills at first?
Doctor :   These are very important
User :   what do you mean when did I start the pills?
User :   I missed two but not in row
User :   I can not pin point exact days
Doctor :   Which month?
User :   this month
Doctor :   Which month did you start using pills?
User :   I've been on them for four years now
Doctor :   Ok, I should perhaps know on which days did you miss pills, on that basis the protection against pregnancy is determined
Doctor :   and what is the name of the pill that you use?
User :   tri sprintec, I honestly can't pin point the days the pills were missed. I do know I had sex on the 3-5 for the first time in two months if that helps at all?
Doctor :   Did it happen in the past?
Doctor :   I mean missing pills
Doctor :   Ok Tri sprintec is a combined pill
Doctor :   so you should not be worried about pregnancy if you miss only two pills
Doctor :   so just carry on with your routine now
Doctor :   Carry on taking the rest of the pack as normal.
Doctor :   The bleeding that you have now could be a withdrawal bleed
Doctor :   You can probably take a Urine pregnancy test and start the new pack now
Doctor :   Are you with me?
Doctor :   Did you follow?
Doctor :   I have to close the window as you are not responding
User :   I'm finished with the pack!
User :   I had my period on time.. but I'm concerned b/c it was only three days long.
Doctor :   Ok before starting the next new pack, please take a Urine pregnancy test, most possibly you are protected as you were taking combined pill
Doctor :   The duration of the menstrual period has not to do with the pregnancy or not
User :   well I've already started the new pack, im on the second week now.
Doctor :   It can vary because of the BCP pills that you might have missed
User :   thats what I thought, but I read online that a shorter period can mean a pregnancy
Doctor :   No that does not withstand any medical evidence
User :   i just thought it was unusual because they are never that short
Doctor :   Ok now you need not worry
Doctor :   Are you clear now?
User :   I guess. I think I've just worried myself to death
Doctor :   Do you have any more questions relating to this?
User :   Yes, is it a good idea to take a pregnancy test anyways? Or am I just over worrying
Doctor :   I am sure you are worried, may be a physical test will help to reduce it
User :   okay thank you.
Doctor :   Pleasure here
Doctor :   Bye for now
