User :   hi, i have missed my periods and getting brown watery discharge or light pink discharge on passing stools.. what could be the reason? I had a miscarraige a month ago with was missed abortion and my husband and i have had intercourse many times since then.
User :   hi
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   can u mention your age ?
User :   27
User :   i have been married for 8 years with one miscarraige which was on jan 5, 2011
User :   and i am supposed to have periods on feb 15, 2011
Doctor :   post miscarriage its common to have changed patterns and color of periods and no need to worry
User :   but i am only getting light very light brwn discharge... which started when i passed stools.. and now its with urine as well... and nothing comes on the pads
User :   but its very light
Doctor :   change in color of menstrual flow, is due to hormonal changes
Doctor :   and can occur in many women
User :   can there be a possibility that i have conceived again...
Doctor :   if the bleeding is very less, this could be due to pregnancy as well
Doctor :   but the chances of having a pregancy in this pattern is very unusual
User :   its only very light brown spots... and i have very light numb pain in my left lower abdomen
Doctor :   and uncommon
User :   how is that
User :   why is it uncommon
Doctor :   thats coz, the endometrium after a missed abortion is not ready for implantation
Doctor :   and there will be a few cycles of anovulation before proper ovulation begins
Doctor :   such cycles of anoculation , cause laltered bleeding patterns
User :   but i have read that ovulation can occur after 2 weeks
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   thats right ,
Doctor :   but it usually does not cause pregancy, due to the reasons mentioned already
User :   if its only hormones howcome it started when i passed stools... i was constipated badly... and not otherwise.... and occur at the time i pass stools
Doctor :   that needs to be examined to rule out any fistula between the rectum and the vagina
User :   cud u elaborate
Doctor :   any fistula or opening between the vagina, and the anus, can cause the menstrual flow entering the anus
Doctor :   and this can be mistaken to be as combined with feces
Doctor :   you might need a examination by a OB/GYN
Doctor :   who can detect the condition and treat it effectively
