User :   Hi Dr. thanks! Just a quick question. I am traveling to Leh-Ladakh next month.

User :   I wanted to inquire about the precautions that i need to take before i go there.
User :   what medicine do you suggest for Mountain Sickness / Altitude sickness?
Doctor :   I do not think there is any need to take medicines.
Doctor :   Just concentrate on proper breathing.
User :   I read on a website & lot of people were talking about a tablet called Diamox.
Doctor :   You may have to take anti emitics if you feel vomitting.
User :   Alright! Another problem is i am Asthmatic
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   You should seek medical advise regarding safety.
Doctor :   It can actually cause problems in asthmatics.
Doctor :   You should be having with you all the medicines.
User :   Yeah. that's exactly what i am worried about. i use Asthalin inhaler which i use about twice a day. anything else you can think that i should do?
Doctor :   Inhalers and the tablets whatever you are taking.
Doctor :   You may also carry medicines like salbutomol.
User :   what does Salbutomol do?
Doctor :   It will dilate your air passages and it will make breathing easier.
Doctor :   You may also carry nebuliser if you have it.
User :   oh ok! Nebuliser i think i have it. is salbutomol specifically made for Asthmatics? or is it a general medicine which anyone with breathing problems can consume?
Doctor :   It is usually prescribed for asthmatics. But it can also be used in other lung conditions.
User :   awesome! is there any permanent cure for Asthma?
Doctor :   Not such permanent treatment. The best thing in asthma is to prevent any factor that aggravates asthma.
Doctor :   Like exposing to dust.
User :   Yeah i am very allergic to dust which i avoid as much as i can. Anyways thanks for the advise
