User :   my 3 year old daughter has been having fever for the past 5 days and five nights despite mediction. The diagnosis has been made for viral-cold and cough

User :   should the fever not suside within 2-3 days with the medication on?
Doctor :   well ideally it should
Doctor :   what medicines is she on?
User :   the fever is not going below 99.5-100 desipte the medication

Doctor :   is the fever on all the time or at a particular time of day?
User :   febrex plus- 3 ml 3 times a day and

User :   Piriton -2 ml 3 times a day
Doctor :   are you readng from the label now?
User :   fever is constant through the day
User :   only 1 night it was very high-about 103-104

Doctor :   are you cold sponging her?
User :   yes.
Doctor :   in case fever goes high?
Doctor :   good
User :   reading from the label and sponged her when fever was above 102
Doctor :   now how is her cough and cold?
User :   cold and cough is very severe

User :   nose is bocked or running through the day and couging quite a lot, but she is not having pain in the throat

User :   yes, by a Paediatician. just need to know if the fever can take upto 5-6 days to go down

Doctor :   and she has no breathing difficulty

Doctor :   however I suggest that you take her to the paediatrician
Doctor :   if the fever does not sub side in a day or two more
User :   will be taking her to the paed tomorrow for the next visit

User :   i had showed 2 paeds, both said it was plain viral, no infection
User :   i hope its only that.
