User :   Hello, I got a mother aged 50, she just returned from work with nose bleeds, severe headache, dizziness and nausea. She has already been to the doctor a few times for blood presssure check (her blood pressure is normal), but as we live in a country we social healthcare, she is given some painkillers and sent home.
There is of course private healthcare available, but I'm asking if these are severe symptoms, what can it be? Also I should mention, she only nose bled today, but have had severe headache for quite some time, and episodes of high nausea.

Doctor :   severe stress, can lead to episodic local increase in pressure and this inturn, can cause bleeding from the nose
Doctor :   also, if this is the first time, and if the BP is normal, ...
User :   not severe bleeding i would say, but its occuring quite frequent, she said it doesnt feel like its anything stopping it if that makes sense
Doctor :   the best initial treatment - is let the patient sit with head elevated. and then, apply direct and constant pressure on the nostrils so as to compress the site of bleeding

Doctor :   also, use of medications, like Nasivion ( phenyl ephrine) which can reduce the circulation in the nasal vessels will help to reduce the bleeding
Doctor :   constant pressure on the bleeding site for 10-15 minutes usually stops the bleeding, in most cases

User :   Yes I did, thank you very much
Doctor :   yes, medical help will be needed, if the bleeding does not stop, so that a nasal pack can be placed in the anterior nasal cavity to stop bleeding
